What Would Be Your Zombie Combat Gear?

  • for me i'm thinking some kind of x games biker gear for the armor (still undecided. dont want anything too heavy). then calico M-110 .22 pistol (has 100 rounds). the crossbow seems to work pretty good on the walking dead so i guess ill carry one of those. whichever one is fastest to load. (i know nothing about crossbows). then for the close rage ill go all rafael nija turtles and have a pari of sai.

    with that i wont be carrying a ton of weight. i'll still be able to out run the walkers and if i ever got into a bind i would have plenty of rounds. got the crossbow for long range shots and stealth. i would tear zombies up with my gauntlets and sai. pretty good overall plan imo.

    crowbar, 12 ga pump for short range,a Judge also for short range but easier for a quick shot, s&W M&P 15-22 for medium range, and then for long range shots in the case of me covering someones movements gotta go with my Browning 270 WSM (i used things i already had, easier if you dont have to fight/find your weapons)

  • I would carry a .22 rifle and pistol. Just because you could carry a lot of ammo and it will not be too heavy. Leather sounds good for armor.
    Can't forget a Katana for up close fighting.

  • Katana isn't really viable in hallways or the interior of buildings that aren't open areas. A machete is really the ideal melee weapon if you are going to use a blade and you already have a pistol for your intermediary distance needs.

    Human teeth can't clothing leather. It would hurt, but the maneuverability it still allows you to have outways anything else.

  • Being reallistic and having a plan I would first out fit an All Terrain Vehicle or 4WD like my jeep. I would carry a 22 mag Henry Golden boy. Stored in Jeep would be longe range rifle probably .308 or. .270. Compound bow or cross bow. The rest of the survival tools would be as effective as they are named. Knives and axes or hatchets are good for close counters but reallistically not gonna carry huge hard weight weap ons.they guy showed that the duct taped was bite proof. I would combo it and leather .

  • I would probably go with motorcycle racing leathers with boots and lightweight racing gloves. I would cut the gloves under each index finger so I could expose the fingers to operate firearms. For head protection I would go with a riot helmet. Heat would be an issue with the leathers, but the top half unzips and could be left undone to mitigate the effects of heat during the summer during rest periods.

    I would want a high capacity 9mm on each thigh, an AR-15 (silenced) on a sling attached to a tactical vest holding additional magazines, dual machetes in holsters sown to the back of the tactical vest, and a knife with a fixed blade with the holsters sown to the outside of each boot. I would also take the padding out of the top portion of the leathers right under the neck on the back and use that spot for a small camel system.

    I would also keep a bicycle in the back of whatever vehicle I have. It doesn't use fuel and sure as hell faster than walking.
