I don't know to much about the guy.

He was a sub-par coach at MIchigan State. Probably means he's destined for 2 National Titles in 3 years in the SEC.
Seriously though..... This has to be a one year hire to have time to find the right guy. After next year. Because hiring that moron was a joke.

Not a bad caretaker during Arkansas' transition. But yeah, his tenure at MSU was a dumpster fire full of gonorrhea.

It was a smart hire, imo.
This is the guy that essentially taught Petrino, and he knows the coaching staff well, so it keeps things moving.
Arky can now be patient a bit in their "real" coaching search.

He's not our "new coach."
He's our interim coach. He's here to hold the team and staff together. I still expect 9-10 wins, and I'm far from a homer compared to the rest of the Hog fans I've come across on the internetz.
Our plan is to have JLS this season and hire a new coach after the season. Our AD said there were some notable, big names interested... just not at this time (post Spring Game).

Considering the weird circumstances, his connection to the staff, being Petrino's teacher, and his connection to Arky, it was a homerun hire.
