The current state of film is abysmal from a creative standpoint. It's all about the money though in the film industry and every film school around teaches how to make additional $$ off of any good idea. Sequels mostly blow these days and ticket sales revenue represents that which is why I think indie films have found success at some level. But here's the point....because of location, location, location and money, and influence, USC Film School and subordinate programs still wield massive influence in the film industry. Here's a look at the Board of Councilors. I'm sure some of the names look familiar, even to you barny.

Exactly, which is why FSU students I feel will be more successful in the coming years because the large amount of success FSU students garner post graduation is in Indie films. Money is the Motto of the world tho so I see USC dominating the money aspect of film, but I'd watch a creative film over a top grossing film any day. Look at the films that dominate the box office lately, I mean come on Hunger Games? REALLY? Its an ok book but hardly creative in my opinion and for the movie to be doing as well as it did is just as confusing to me.
