    No one thought UGA had a shot. UGA wasn't being overhyped heading into this game. Unlike one school that lost a few Championship games. The overhype did them in.

    UGA was a top ten team while playing nobody, but I agree most thought they would lose that game.

    The media would be going off about how the B1G is too slow. They'd be talking about how the mid-west just doesn't have the athletes like the south does. They'd being talking about how the B1G doesn't pay their assistants enough. They'd even be spouting off about nonsensical things like population shifts and the climate.

    Why does UGA get a pass? Why isn't the media slamming a ten win SEC team for not being able to even compete with LSU. Are there not great athletes in Georgia or the rest of the south that they can recruit. Does UGA just recruit slow players? Have their recruiting classes not been ranked high? Are they not paying their assistants enough? Is the yearly temperature in Athens declining?

    There is no difference in speed. ESPN and other media outlets have a love affair with the SEC.

    Georgia does not get a pass. We lost to LSU and fell 5 spots in the AP. Arkansas lost in the same way and fell 3 spots in the AP.

    LSU put up 494 yards on Arkansas. Arkansas gained only 254 yards.

    Georgia held LSU to 237 yards, their lowest offensive output of the season. Georgia also gained 296 yards against LSU.

    Go figure.

    Oregon looked slow when Ohio State beat them in the Rose Bowl. You know, before Auburn or LSU ever played them.

    Petrino wanted Ohio State at their best. He got them and couldn't hang. Too slow for the Buckeyes.

    Of course, all that has nothing to do with my original point anyway.

    Um, no offense...but that game was as close as it comes. Mallett doesn't throw that INT, OSU loses. I think Arkansas showed they could easily hang with that Buckeye team.

    None taken. Ohio State dominated the first half and in Tressel fashion took their foot off the gas in the second half. Pryor only threw 5 passes in the entire 2nd half.

    Big talent gap between Ohio State and a team like Arky.

    Please with the cheating! Either you're faster or you're not. Arkansas lost, not because the tats the OSU players had were mystical and magical but because OSU was the better team. Period. Did Arkansas drop a million balls? Yes- but those are the breaks kid. Imagine the hate I'd get if every time a Michigan fan brought up this year's win over OSU I whined and said "Well, (snif) if Braxton would have completed those passes we win going away (snif)." What's sad is that's a more valid (but still lame) excuse than "OSU cheated that's why they lost to Arkansas". Man up and ditch the excuses.

    No, they aren't faster. That argument doesn't make any sense.

    Auburn beat Oregon by 3. I love how that game has been spun to make it sound like Auburn blew them out.

    A horrible MSU team raped a Michigan team that was 7-6.... Impressive.

    Alabama beat the hell out of Michigan State..... and an 8 win Iowa team beat that same Michigan State team by 29. Michigan State was co Big 10 champions because they missed Ohio State on their schedule.

    When you use "Arkansas should have won" and "Ohio State cheated" as an argument, you lose all credibility. The fact that Ohio State players where getting free tattoos must have made them faster that day.

However, nobody really batted an eye when UGA got blown out because they are not that good. They won 10 games but beat nobody this season, they missed Bama, Arky and LSU in the regular season. Their SEC schedule was a joke.

    Now, you're asking why UGA got blown out. Why don't they have the speed and talent to hang with LSU? The answer, already given to you, is Richt is soft and has really digressed as a coach. They have talent and speed, they lack toughness, discipline and fundamentals...things LSU has in spades.

    To the genius who said the national title keeps being given to the SEC, two SEC teams are playing in the game this year, yes. The last 5 years though, a Big 10 team, the same Big 10 team, a Big 12 team, another Big 12 team and a PAC 12 team all had chances to beat the SEC in the title game and all failed. Nothing was given to the SEC the last 5 years. You pvssies just couldn't get the job done.

    First of all, dickhead, UGA did not get a pass....they fell 5 spots. Arkansas gave up twice as many yards to LSU as did Georgia and was held to less yards than Georgia. Arkansas dropped 3 spots after getting beat by LSU.

    As far as the schedule goes, who the fack did Bama play that was so good? That's right, assface....nobody. Kent State, North Texas and Georgia Southern for OOC. And the same shitty teams Georgia played in conference. Reach around behind your stupid ass and get a grip.....Homer.

  • I don't get why MSU is being called slow.

    Have you guys seen our players? The skill positions are fast everywhere so I'll just leave that alone. Martin is one of the fastest players in college football.

    Our D-line looks like that of a SEC team. Gholston is fast. He could stand up and play LB if needed. Dantonio knows defense and he's adapted our defense to the current state of college football. Our OLB's are also very fast. Norman and Allen could be safeties in the Big Ten during the 90's.

    Anyone that thinks MSU is slow is not basing their opinion in reality. College football has changed because of teams like Oregon. Defenses are adapting all over the country. The SEC speed tag line is sooooo 2005.
