THIS ^^^^^^^^^^^^ TO BE INITIATED THIS WEEKEND. Again, what a freaking awesome thread - minus the shrooms.

if you do it, take pictures and post.

I am cutting weight right now, got about 5-6 more pounds to go, then this will be my celebration of cut over.

  • I like a cajun roast beef sandwich with Muenster cheese.

I like the chicago bread from publix take 3 slices of that and very lightly toast. Take 1 slice and layer with dijon and muenster cheese than a bunch of the cajun roast beef another slice of cheese then another slice of bread with dijon and cheese followed by more roast beef then cheese and top with another slice of bread. Put in oven for about 5 mins depending on how you like the bread at 400.

  • Left over meatloaf, heated up, on toasted white bread, salt, pepper, mayo, two slices of provolone (one top one bottom) , and some Lays BBQ chips. Wash down with stuarts orange cream soda.

I'm also a big fan of pimento cheese done the right way.

If you're a big fan of pimento cheese, I'd suggest you try it on a BLT - just a nice thick layer on the toasted bread then top with bacon, lettuce, tomato and throw some mayo on the other slice - it's awesome!

  • Amongst the craziness tonight, I'd just like to state that I made an amazing bacon, egg, and aged white cheddar sandwich for dinner. The only thing missing was a tomato. cry

You left out the bread description. I just had two wonderful hot dog sqndwiches. Otherwise known as hot dogs. They could have used eggs though

Oh, bread was boring ol' wheat bread. Nothing gourmet.

I like a good veggie sandwich as well from time to time. As long as you have good bread and good cheese with it, I'm on it like a fat kid on a Krispy Kreme doughnut.

Toasted on a panini grill, specifically. Maybe with a nice avocado spread or garlic aioli.

  • Love sandwiches. There's a fantastic butcher within a mile of my place that has amazing sandwiches. I'm going to duplicate my favorite from there for my cheat meal on Sunday.

Fresh italian bread cut in half laid open like a book
    fresh cut roast beef
    thin layer of spicy mustard
    fresh cut cajun turkey
    one shake of sea salt
    fresh cut meunster cheese

In store made fresh, it's $9 and worth every damn penny.

  • My favorite sandwich of all time is a falafel sandwich from A LA KEBAB on the Grand Cayman Island.

Freshly made wheat pita, hummus, tahini (sesame sauce) pickles, raw red onion, tomato, lettuce and of course falafel.
We were in the Cayman for six days, and ate there six times. Incredible.
Falafel is my favorite sandwich now, and probably my favorite food too. I try to recreate it, but haven't gotten close.

How people live Vegan still baffles me.

Edit: For those that actually watch the Food Network, and yes I do, The Best Thing I Ever Made: Sandwiches comes on Sunday morning.

    I'm going to DVR it

  • Fresh French bread sliced like subway.
    Nice layer of cream cheese
Chopped spinach(from the frozen section). Make sure it's strained and put in on top of the cream cheese.
    Good deli turkey
Put Provo cheese on top and bake it.
Heat up some beef broth and this will be the best French dip ever.

It's definitely a lifestyle change, but once you start eating that way, and develop/discover meals that you love, it's actually kind of fun.

Oh, I'm not. But I've given up meat for Lent lots of times. One of these times I'll probably try to see how long I can go without eating meat. I could never go full vegan. I love cheese way too much.

I could easily go without eating meat WAY before I would give up cheese.

Personally, I would rather just get fat and die of a heart attack than give up either one. I eat a lot and still stick around my 215-225 weight as long as I work out on a regular basis. Can't remember what they call them, but the people that give up meat, cheese and carbs baffles me as well.

I would just go ahead and kill myself.
