What starters did you lose from last year to this year?

    Offense: Rainey Demps

It seems like these guys each played like 6 years. It will be odd to see a Florida team without those 2.

Apparently depth is not an issue for Bama so it doesn't matter what starters you loose.

Depth is an issue everywhere. There isn't a single program that doesn't have an issue somewhere.

I would say at Bama the main depth issue is at OL. The starting until is probably the best there is, but there is a lot of unproven guys behind them. A major loss last year was Alfred McCullough. He wasn't a starter at the beginning, but he was the backup by the end of the year at 4 different positions.

That guy will be missed big time if an injury or two occur.

I don't agree with the addition by subtraction point he made, but I see his point.

They were too explosive to keep off the field, but also never gave Florida an ideal back last year either.

    BetterOff

  • Offense
    Kirk Cousins: QB
    Edwin Baker: RB
    B.J. Cunningham: WR
    Keyshawn Martin: WR
    Brian Linthicum: TE
    Joel Foreman: OG

    Defense
    Jerel Worthy: DT
    Trenton Robinson: FS

All of these players besides Foreman, who retired due to bad knees, have a chance to be drafted. Which is a refreshing thing for MSU.
Edit: Baker wasn't a starter but got carries.

Offense: RT: Mark Huyge C: David Molk TE: Kevin Koger WR: Junior Hemingway

Defense: DL: Ryan Van Burgen DL: Mike Martin DL: WIll Heininger S: Troy Woolfolk?

Nailed it on all of them.

RT: Mark Huyge. Not a huge loss, and Michael Schofield may actually end up being an upgrade. Schofield took over at LG when Ricky Barnum was hurt and moved to Tackle whenever Lewan or Huyge were banged up last year. Schofield is a natural RT, 6'7" 300 lbs.

C: David Molk. This one hurts, losing the Rimington Award winner is always going to hurt. Barnum is moving to center from LG, and looked good in the Spring Game. He was a 4*, #8 Center in the nation coming out of HS.

TE: Kevin Koger. While Koger didn't light up the world, he was a captain and the guys replacing him have done nothing. Major area of concern for this season.

WR: Junior Hemingway. Another one that hurts, he was our big play guy at WR. His ability to high point the ball was amazing last year, and bailed out Denard on several occasions. Returning WRs Roundtree and Gallon have around 150 career catches, but neither of them has shown the ability to match Hemingway's big play ability.

    Defense:

NT: Mike Martin. This one hurts. Martin was a beast, and his replacement is much hyped Will Campbell. I hope he finally puts it together, but that is all there is right now, hope.

DT: Will Heininger. Started every game except the Sugar Bowl. You wouldn't know it by looking at the stat line. Jibreel Black is an instant upgrade at this position.

SDE: Ryan Van Bergen. Solid player and while his production will be missed, a solid player is moving from WDE to replace him, Craig Roh. I expect a similar season out of Roh that RVB produced, and having a little bit more quickness than RVB, I expect more than 5.5 sacks out of the position.

S: Troy Woolfok. Started 10 games, finished less than that due to injuries every week. Was replaced at every position by those returning, JT Floyd, Blake Countess, Thomas Gordon, and Jordan Kovacs. Not a loss.

    1. It did matter... big time.
    2. You're really that stupid.
    3. You can't say that was a give away if I can't say it was a testament to that season for Auburn. We were the best 2nd half defense in the nation... and right before half time we sliced your jugular.

Don't even try to talk your way out of how dumb of a post that was. Kite is just a mod so he can't lay a verbal smack down on you like he could, even I took it light.

Hey, stop it with the personal attacks!

I figured Kite could use some help biggrin

The guy attacked Kite... Kite is a mod and can't defend himself, so I stepped in.
