California has a BS tax and spend initiative that they've been selling as a "save the schools" proposition. Also a repeal the death penalty proposition when we haven't executed anyone in I don't know how long.
The real dusie is the "pure foods" initiative where any food that has been genetically altered must be labeled as such. It was written by a bunch of tort lawyers so they could strong arm cash out of small mon & pop markets by threatening to sue them if a label was missing.

One that was important to me was Michigan's Prop 3:
Proposal 3 would add an amendment to the state constitution requiring that Michigan obtain 25 percent of its energy from renewable resources (like wind, solar and hydro) by the year 2025.
I voted yes. I hope it passes.
