Nice. Have you heard any of their stuff?

They have been one of my favorite bands for years. I saw Chuck Ragan at the Revival Tour earlier this year playing his solo stuff. Excited to see HWM for the first time in years.

    For me..

I have to rate this a couple of different ways..

Best Stageshow/Crowd Appeal: Flaming Lips and Avenge Sevenfold

Best Musical Performance: Breaking Benjamin/Tool/A Dark New Day/Incubus (A while back)

Best Overall: Tool (Hands down IMO) w/ Breaking Benjamin running 2nd, and Dark New Day about dead even with BB.. I also have to add in Egypt Central.

    What say ye tBB?

    Daft punk alive

Dave Matthews Band - Alpine Valley N2 - 7.7.2012. Longest set in DMB history.

The Hangout in Gulfshores this year was also 3 days of pure freakin bliss. Of course, Dave was the main headliner so I'm a little biased.

I just really like DMB. 5 shows in the past 3 years which is nothing compared to some people but not a bad start I don't think.

DMB is from my very own Charlottesville baby!!! Repn UVA!

Haha yes they did get their start there! Have you ever been to Miller's downtown? (I'm pretty sure it still exists but I may be wrong) Dave was actually working there as a bartender when he met the other 4 guys that would eventually go on to form DMB. If I ever make it up there I really want to stop in for a beer. I sound like a dork but I'd be freakin' ecstatic.

As far as rep'n UVA goes..Only Boyd Tinsley (violin) actually attended UVa BUT be proud that DMB's first stadium show was actually in Scott Stadium and that JPJ arena shows are some of the hottest tickets for diehards. I definitely need to get my butt to Cville for one of those. Heard nothing but good things.

  • Pink Floyd in 1994 at Legion Field in Birmingham Al. Nothing else comes close for me.

  • I'm 28 and I've probably been to about 175 shows starting from when I was young.

    Some of the best were:

    - White Stripes every time (which is over 20) Jack is the man. Weird, but cool.
    - Nirvana 1993 at the State Fairgrounds in Detroit. (I was 9, but I still loved it lol)
    - Rage Against The Machine @Lollapalooza 2008 (It was so nuts they had to stop like 3 times)
    - Dinosaur Jr. (Got to hang out with them... awesome guys)
    - Pixies @Aragon in Chicago (Way better than when I saw them in Detroit, Aragon is cool)

There's so many more.. but those are the one's that stand out right away.

  • Foo fighters is the best show I've been to.

Saw Rush last year with my old man. I'm not a big fan of them. But Neil Peart is amazing.

Saw Shinedown, Korn, evanescence, and Staind a few months ago. Staind was surprisingly my favorite out of the group.
