What's everyone eating today

Our guests brought mac & cheese and other sides.

    I'm down with it.

Yeah not sure why anyone would knock mac & cheese. One of my favorite all time foods. I might not be the most expensive meal out there but it doesn't make it any less delicious.

  • Turkey, ham, mac and cheese, cornbread dressing, mashed potatoes, squash casserole, green beans, sweet potato casserole, deviled eggs, rolls, cranberry sauce...I know I am missing some things. It was followed by German Chocolate cake, Coconut cake, and Key lime cake. I ate at 2 and am still so full I am about to explode. The best thing about this meal was that my nephew and his wife cooked it and all I had to do was eat.

  • Actually forgot completely about the cranberry sauce and giblet gravy. Surprising seeing as though they are two of my Thanksgiving favorites. The cranberry sauce not so much the day of, but a staple on my leftover turkey sandwiches for about the week after.

Guess to me it's like serving refried beans as a side dish for Thanksgiving pukeface, or with my traditional prime rib dinner on Christmas day...does not go together, in my mind, and luckily for me..everyone else in my family agrees..

To each their own. I don't serve mac & cheese for Christmas, I also go prime rib, but I typically make it for Thanksgiving and Easter. I just personally love mac & cheese and I think it goes real well with Turkey and Ham. Prime Rib, not so much.
