There used to be a badass night picture of a crowd there. I had it as my background for several years. It's an amazing scene up there for games. I've always thought the stadiums in that part of the country had the best backgrounds. Montanta, Montana State, Wyoming, etc.

Have you ever been? One of my college roommates was a CPA for a while and is now a partner at firm in Missoula and I have been to 5 games up there. Took my entire group that goes to different games each year up there in 2004 and it was probably all of our favorite trips that we have been on. There were some other bigger games that we have been to over the years, but as far as an entire trip, the city, fans, and everything, that is a great one.

  • For football:

    1. Rose Bowl
    2. I would love to see a game under the Friday Night Lights at Odessa Permian.
    3. DKR
    4. Horseshoe
    5. Aloha Stadium

  • I've only been to:
    Ohio State
    Auburn
    Alabama
    Legion Field
    Georgia
    Georgia Tech
    FSU
    Rose Bowl

The BIG stadium that interests me the most is Wisconsin. Around the country I'd like to see LSU, Oregon, VT, and The Swamp.

  • Sadly I have never been anywhere other than LSU, which is why I asked the question. Since I live in Mobile I would like to go see Bama and Auburn first, and then maybe go to Tallahassee or Gainsville. Of course, I'm only 24 so I have many years God willing on my bucket list. For what its worth Ive been to the senior bowl down here but that doesnt really count. Heck I havent even see South Alabama which is the team that started down here a few years ago and are going to Div-1 this year lol. Just love watching LSU so much that I'm either at one of their games or in front of a TV set.

  • For those that have been to LSU, would you rank them among the top as far as gameday atmosphere, because I know it is very special to me and it would be hard for any stadiums to top ours, but Ive never been to any other so I can't say.

  • Camp Randall. I've toured it between game days but I would love to see a game there.

Out of the stadiums I've been to the most impressive was Notre Dame, beautiful stadium. UVA was nice but you had to tailgate so far from the stadium. I ended up taking a taxi. Nebraska's fans were awesome and it's a great stadium. Arky was a great experience but I tried to do too much and paid for it. Stanford and Cal are totally different but both good. ASU and UA suck at tailgating. U-dub was beautiful but the weather sucked the game I went to. Oregon State looked good but I didn't get too much time to tailgate. The tailgating at ucla is really hit and miss. There are some nice spreads but it's really a majority of home boys using the game as an excuse to party. I quit going after watching the toilets fill with vomit and people getting stabbed.

Outside of the Rose Bowl, the bowl games I've been to don't count because it's usually at a neutral stadium and you don't get the real flavor of a traditional game day.

    Looks like another perfect day.

  • Good thread. Made me decide to try a new stadium 11/10, OSU bye week. Thinking about Knoxville or Ole Miss. Would LSU do a night game for homecoming? Says TBA.

Miss.st. sounds like a 6:45 ESPN game, so should be a night game but I would wait. Shouldnt be too hard to get tickets to that one but don't go unless its a night game so you can get the full experience. By the way, how do all of you go about getting tickets for all these games. I would assume stubhub or something huh.

  • Stubhub is too expensive. You can scalp cheaper. Most of the other games i've gone to, a friend has come across some tickets and I tagged along.

Go to Oxford. It's a great college town. Then again, east Tennessee in early November is gorgeous. If you go to Knoxville, drive a little more east over the Smokies to Asheville, NC.

The good thing about doing broadcasting at my age is I saw a lot of small colleges in VA, NC, and SC that are seriously just dropped in the middle of the woods. Got to drive the Blue Ridge Parkway in November and holy f**king s**t is that drive breathtaking.
