I don't know... Diesel prices keep going up shrug

That they do, but that is just a price he'll have to pay, literally haha

Lebron James will never be as good as Michael Jordan, thus we should get rid of his nickname, "The King".

I love the sound of a diesel...especially the way the 7.3 Powerstroke used to sound, and the Pre 2008 5,9 Cummins

I work construction and at some point the plan is to add a boat.... I just want something I am not limited with, I like the idea of putting a plow on it in the winter if I want, the upfront cost sucks but you can go out and make 50 bucks an hour plowing and all you are doing is screwing around jamming the radio

Ahh I see. If you want to put a plow on it you'd want a 250 or 2500. Plowing wreaks havock on your truck if you do it a lot but not if you just occasionally plow your driveway.

I know a few years ago when I priced a plow and a good salter... I wanna say they were Meyer brand I think... overall it was about 6 grand but a good winter cuts into that quick if you work your ass off... I like toys, the idea is to get the truck, play with the plow and get paid and eventually get a nice bass boat... then Im set! haha

If you break even on the money made plowing and the cost of repairs and extra maintenance due to said plowing consider yourself lucky. If you want to plow buy the cheapest 4x4 you can find because you will ruin it quickly

    Go bucky go

  • I trade every year and get the same truck. Chevy silverado 4x4 extended cab. Haven't had any problems with them.

Pretty much this. There's a reason people usually plow with old trucks unless they're part of a very wealthy landscaping company.

My cousin plows a few lots and my buddy's dad owns a landscaping company (not one of the very wealthy ones, but still does well). Here is what I have been told:

If you plan on doing a lot of plowing with a newer truck you will probably be dissapointed because it seems like fun and not a big deal, but believe me the gas and repair bills add up real quick and if something breaks (which it will) then you have to explain to whomever you plow for what happened and they'll probably be pissed.

  • Whatever you decide, Chevy/gmc over ford. Have 2009 Sierra 1500 crew cab and no issues whatsoever. Can't say that about some of my friends and their fords.
