  • Honest question for the Michigan guys...Are you concerned that Hoke is spending his first two years running the spread, then is going to start over with a pro style? I can see you'll losing momentum quickly. If you lose a couple more games this year, then you go to Freshman QB which will be bumpy. All the sudden you've got a couple mediocre seasons in a row, and the momentum you'll have on the recruiting trail right now is gone.

    It's not really too much of a concern for me, because they've been implementing pro style stuff in practice. Also they'll have Gardner and Bellomy to bridge the gap to Morris, IMO he won't come in and start as a true frosh.

    This staff doesn't recruit solely with on field results. They sell the entire school, so I don't think you'll see too much of a drop off even if they have a couple of 8-4 seasons.

    You should be asking Bucknuts whether they are concerned getting an overrated Jalin Marshall along with an overhyped, below-average coach in Coach Urbs. I know I would be if I were a Bucknut.

    We are recruiting pro style players (and very successfully), so we won't be starting over. You OTOH are recruiting spread players. And top OL are avoiding you like the plague. You also are in your second season of playing Fickell-ball defense, which is looking closer and closer each game to Greg Robinson-ball defense. When both of those things fail, you will have to start over. It's a long way back from spread offense hell. Just ask Florida, Texas, Auburn and us. Welcome to our 2008-2010 nightmare.

    Look at all the schools he left

    Bowling Green ? Went back to being terrible

    Utah ? Not looking good since he bailed on them

    UF ? Hasn't even sniffed the SEC east title

    I see it as him leaving a huge mess everywhere he goes

    That is how a quitter does it

    When things get bad they quit

    Never mind the epic recruiting class that he put together before he left. Oh he missed on a bunch? Well, so did every major recruiting company and all the fans that drooled over it when it was assembled.
