Live in Jersey City and like to live in Jersey. I'm a 3 minute path ride to the greatest city in the world, 45 min from the Jersey shore, 2 hours from AC, 5 hours from Boston, 1 hour and change to Philly, 3 and change to Baltimore and 4 hours to DC. I can hit the Pocono mountains to ski in less than 2 hours or head up to Vermont and get there in less than 6. Plus, 20 min from Staten Island (best sandwiches on earth) and underground poker games in the city all the time. Sports are everywhere here as you have Islanders, Rangers, Devils, Giants, Jets, Knicks, Nets, Yankees and that minor league team the Mets.

Another benefit imho is the change of seasons. I LOVE the foliage in the fall, the snow in winter, the blooming buds in spring and the warmth of the sun in summer. I wouldn't be able to live somewhere say like Minnesota where hot is 70 degrees or Florida where cold is 70 degrees. I desire the change of seasons... I wouldn't know what to do without that "football smell" if I lived in the south and people in the north know what I mean... It's incredible.

South Carolina. Born and raised. Lived elsewhere. Travelled a lot. Very happy right where I'm at.
If I had to move and assuming money isn't an option.....
-A beach. Somewhere tropical. Edit: just read the great white thread so to hell with the ocean
-Maine seems nice. Vermont too. Laid back. Not hot. Lots of syrup.
-CA. So Cal to be specific. Maybe Malibu? Georgeous there. Water is too damn cold so I'm not worried about sharks.
NYC- would take some getting used to but Manhattan is amazing.

Ahhhh. The fresh cut grass on a cool fall morning. I've lived in Iowa my whole life. The changing seasons always give you something to look foreword to. I've vacationed all over the country but there's not anywhere I would rather live full time.

Yeah, that and the mulch from the trees falling. It SCREAMS football. Every field in Jersey is surrounded by oaks and maples and the players cleats shuffle through the leaves onto the field and it's just something magical about it....
The grass cut and the mulch, the fire remnants from a pit in somebody's yard... It's amazing...
