  • Its 7 in a row for the SEC. Does anyone think the Irish can beat the SEC champ?

  • One thing you are over-looking is how much love the refs might show ND in that game

You can never trust american sports, imo all are fixed at some point

Not every game, but you never know which ones will be

Think about it, playing ND is a big game would always make me nervous.... especially in south bend ( this one is clearly not in SB but still... )

That being said I also think ND is capable of beating anybody, and certainly capable of losing to teams they shouldn't lose to.... it will be interesting

Im cheering for ND, just cause it would be crazy.... then again they have a lot of shit fans that will be unbearable

Would also be happy for star, that douchebag is probably feeling really good these days ( goodforhim )

  • I think Bama will beat ND because of the amount of time to prepare for the game, but I honestly think the Irish would beat UGA.

I agree with this, ND's pass rush would eat that Murray kid alive

Bama has a much better chance at protecting their QB which is the key to beating ND

    You're right, its much better

They have Clowney sure, but ND has a whole heap of dudes who are solid and better DT's and LB's for sure

    Its not even close really

USCe has the nation leader in sacks with Clowney at 13

ND has 3 guys in the top 65 nationally though, USCe only has Clowney.... then, literally nobody else in the top 100

And Tuitt is top 10 with 11, ND has a better pass rush no doubt..... numbers don't lie in this case

Well I'm not looking past them. Hopefully Saban and our players aren't overlooking them either. Especially now that Kenny Bell broke his damn leg. That is going to hurt us no matter what people say.

imo its impossible to overlook an SEC title game that would propel you to the BCS title game

Especially a team coached by Saban and one that literally has championship experience.... Bama knows what this game means

In the USCjr game we were tipping off our snap count. That is a big reason they were in the backfield all night. ND's DL wouldn't put half that pressure on UGA, or Bama for that matter. SEC champ rolls.

Im not saying you are wrong, but ND's defense is for real

They have nothing special in that secondary and still haven't been exposed cause that pass rush is so damn good with just 3 or 4 guys rushing

I really have never watched ND with the exception of the Stanford game. A great pass rush gives us fits, thats for sure. We were able to neutralize UF's rush. Bama doesn't rush that well.

All you gotta do is look at them imo, they are one of the most impressive looking front 7's I have ever seen

Its crazy to think Aaron Lynch would have moved somebody to the bench as well

They are huge and very productive, not SEC fast.... but fast enough

Its not like they made their due on the ACC all year, they have pwned some pretty good OL's all year

Might be harder than I intially thought. Whatever, we have to get by Bama first. That will be the toughest game we have had in 4 years.

No doubt, I know where your head is at and its hard controlling that kind of emotion

Its hard for me to think otherwise now, FSU has only beaten 2 teams with a winning record

They might be a good team, but nobody really knows for sure cause they haven't been tested week in and week out

One of the winning teams was Miami, the other was Clemson

FSU has the potential but injuries killed them once again, and coaching is just not good at so many key areas

FSU has maybe 3 good coaches ( Eliot, Haggins and maybe Dawsey though Im not thrilled with his unit either )

UF beat the living shit out of FSU and I won't say FSU is the better team, I can't...... but they are better than a 37-20 beating in their own place, UF exposed a lot to me and brought a lot of fears of mine to light

I wouldn't be shocked at all to see FSU lose around 4-5 games next year and watch the wheels really start to fall off

Jimbo isn't a good coach, he does some things well but his ego provides all kinds of problems in areas of need

The main one being his reluctance to fire his boy Trickett who just can't get the job done, and if he starts his son next year it will show just how much favoritism he shows that man for no god damn reason

I agree. Jimbo needs to go. FSU has way too much talent to lose to the teams they lost to.

He just doesn't have a clue when it comes to preparing his kids, and sucks at putting them in the right spot

That damn screen pass to Rodney Smith will haunt my dreams forever, and I just know that he thinks its some great call or some shit

Cause there is no excuse to run that play over and over again, it literally never works yet he always comes back to it

Why would you run that play to a 6'6" WR with terrible moves and not try it at least once with one of your tiny guys with great elusiveness ? it literally makes no sense to me

And his whole, lets the share the carries with 5 backs and never let one get into a groove is also mind numbingly stupid

I just don't understand the things he continues to do, and then you listen to him try and explain it in post game pressers and its clear the man doesn't have an effin clue thanks to humans worst flaw.... the ego

ND would have a decent chance. They have played a grinding, SEC, like schedule, a lot of close games, they obviously play good defense, so you always have a chance. Bama's secondary is their weakness, not sure if ND could exploit it. For UGA to get there, Aaron Murray can't disappear, like he usually does in big games. If he has a good day, they can beat anybody.

I agree. We just have to give Murray time. Like I said, if Murray can get comfortable Bama is in big trouble.

  • This is where Georgia misses Marlon Brown and Michael Bennett so much. They would have given us these big body wide receivers to man handle the defensive backs for bama with slants to the middle of the field. I believe we win if we adjust to the game early enough. If bama has pressure back in Murrays face, I see Georgia going to a three step drop and throw with a lot of shotgun screens to our play makers also. We have more than a punchers chance here.

Btw.... Sec is where champions play. To be the best you have to beat the best. And also if Notre Dame is as lights out as people say, how did they let a bad Pittsburg team come THIS close to beating them? Teo is solid... But I don't believe he is as special as everyone says.

I wasn't sold on ND but the QB is playing pretty well right now and they really seem to have figured some things out on offense. They are running the ball with Riddick and the frosh QB is starting to look pretty goos actually. It won't be nearly as easy as I once thought it might be. They have arguably the best front 7 in the nation.

I really think it is faulty logic to use one close game as a measue of a team' ability. There are still Bama folks on BOL that don't think UGA is for real because you beat UK by 5 points and UT bu 7 points. They have SEC win between them and that's only because they had to play each other. I think UGA is better than those performances but I think you're making a mistake by underestimating ND. They are athletic and well coached.

They are talented and well coached, I just don't think they are as automatic as alot of people in the media think. I think bama and uga can exploit several weaknesses on the irish. They can move really well but what team has been very physical with them and hit them in their mouth?
