Which 2012 recruit are you most excited to see play.

  • You can pick 3 players two from your schools class, and one bonus recruit you want too see play this season.

    For me is pretty easy.

    1.Stefon Diggs wide receiver
    2. Wes Brown running back

    3. Eddie Goldman fsu I want to see just how much playing time he gets. And how good he fits down there. I feel he would have played more at Maryland.

  • 1. Tracy Howard- Lockdown potential probably starting by mid season.
    2. Duke Johnson- Probably get 10 carries a game and return kicks and punts.
    3. Raphael Kirby- Stud who will also play a lot and be versatile.
Bonus Recruit- Mario Edwards want to see if he starts out at DE or DT.

Channing Ward is a DE who signed with Ole Miss. Given his underrated rating and their need for talent, the dude will start from day one and be a stud.

Belue is a blazing-fast JUCO CB at Alabama and progressing well.

Again I have never heard of the first 2 you listed. But DGB is a beast next Calvin Johnson I feel.

But I like Diggs a little better, because he can also return kicks and punts. Faster, quicker and I heard he is working very hard in the weight room for the first time in his life. This gall he could be
    6'1 200 4.3 speed.

quick notes: belue is a juco corner that originally signed with bama out of high school and resigned this past year- he has potential to be a starter for us this year

Channing ward is a defensive lineman from mississippi who is a beast- he signed with ole miss

  • Ellis McCarthy is a step above any other recruit in our '12 class, but I think he'll be a bust. MLB Aaron Porter or CB Ishmael Adams will get early playing time and be the best players in the class.

Wow that's going to be too bad for Eddie Goldman I'd Edwards us mixed to DT. Edward is probably going to be 6'4 290 by this fall so sounds like a DE to me. Eddie should have gone to Maryland. Wouldn't be surprised if he transfers in the next 2 years.

Ondre Pipkins is a 6'3" 305 wrecking ball DT. Impressed everywhere he camped with his ability to gain penetration and with Michigan being thin on the line should get a chance to step in right away.

Joe Bolden, LB that will most likely play MLB at Michigan. Drew lots of praise from his performance at the Under Armour game/camp. He's an EE and will fight to get on the field this fall.

I believe Bolden was running with the 1's with Demens a little banged up and missing a couple of practices this spring.

  • Eddie Goldman will not transfer if he gets the playbook down. Plus we rotate our DL, and the best players will play no matter what class. If he would have went to Maryland he would probably been handed a starting spot and not developed properly while at FSU he will have to wait his turn most likely and be developed.

Didn't you watch the Army Game this year? Pipkins was very impressive in that game, and he played at 6'3, and over 350 pounds. He was that DT that chased Stefon Diggs down on a reverse and swallowed him in the air and body slammed him to the ground and caused a fumble. He also went after that QB in that game that is going to Tennessee and absolutely crushed him near the sideline. If Pipkins gets his conditioning down pat he is a good bet to play a lot as a true freshman. He's a freakish big guy.

As far as the DGB/Diggs comparison, I think Stefon is the next big thing in college football....as a...CORNERBACK. He has Champ Bailey/Charles Woodson potential on defense imo. He's still a high caliber WR prospect (just like those other two guys I mentioned by the way) but this kid could be a truly special CB imo. Kendall Fuller is getting a lot of hype, and rightfully so, but Diggs puts him to shame as a CB prospect in my mind. His CB tape is the best I've seen yet.

DGB was a tad bit overrated in my mind though. I would have definitely rated him as a 5*, but probably as one of the last few 5*'s and not as the #1 player in the country. He is a specimen for sure, but he didn't as advanced route running or hands in the Army Game this year as I was expecting. I was expecting him to look like AJ Green did in the Under Armour Game back in the day and he just was not even remotely close. I think he's definitely got tons of potential to be a star and 1st round pick, but he's no sure thing like AJ Green was.
