Which Former Power

  • I wouldnt have ohio state on the list they were in a bcs bowl game in 2011 and have been in more bcs games then any other team so i can't really see putting them on the list quite yet. i would put georgia (last bcs appearence 2008) and nebraska (last bcs appearence 2002) on the list. i think the closest to making it into a bcs game would be fsu or texas and farthest miami and tennessee

Which former power will be tha first to be Elite and make it to a BCS Bowl??? Who is tha closest, and furthest to reaching a BCS bowl game?? FSU??? Miami??? Notre Dame?? Penn St?? Gators? Vols?? Texas?? Ohio St??

First of all the only teams that should possibly be on this list are FSU, Miami, Notre Dame, Penn State, Vols.
Gators had two National Championships in the last 6 years. Ohio State had a bad year last year and has a bowl ban this year but has been an elite program. Texas may be slipping, but with the success they had over the last decade I believe you have to give them the benefit of the doubt.

    So here's the ranking...
    1. PSU - has to battle Wisconsin for their division, with possible match-up against weaker Michigan/MSU teams in conference championship. With any semblance of an offense they would have probably gone last year. Think they have a great shot to win division and then conference this year.
    2. Miami - Still has great talent, and another year with the best coach they have had in a while. The ACC is so all over the place, that if they are consistent they can win that conference.
    3. FSU - the ACC is up for grabs every year, but a stronger Wake Forest team dashes Seminole's hopes again.
    4. Notre Dame - Should be good and at the top of this list... For some reason they find ways to get beat by inferior teams and get berated by their coach to the press.
    5. Tennesee - They have talent on offensive side of the ball, but I don't see them making it to BCS this year. Somebody has to bring up the rear.

For real...sorry we gonna disappoint them I guess. No Michigan? Or after a good year are they just back? Lolz

You can put Michigan on the list but then the original question doesn't make sense since he said who is the closest to a BCS bowl and Michigan did just win a BCS bowl
