    Exactly. My point was between job opportunities and minority scholarships bc a person is black, if they choose not to make something of themselves then that is on them.

    The conditions they had to grow up with are on them as well? The horrible education and poverty is their fault as well?

    I have a relative who runs a large company in Canada, pretty much admits if a minority and white have equal resume, the minority would usually run out.

    As disgusting as it sounds (almost treating ppl as objects by having quota IMO), these corporations have a quota for minorities, disabled, women in positions of power and overall.

    this also isn't true. At most a company will have an equity plan ensuring minority groups aren't discriminated against. Quotas are illegal. Curious, what large company is this, I am calling BS.

    It's not a quota, but they don't like to have huge disparities I assure you.

    I am saying that a black young man growing up in today's society has every single opportunity to make something of himself that I did. In some circumstances, they have more. If it comes down to him and I for a scholarship, he'll get it. Same thing with a job. There is no reason not to make it in America.

    I don't think it is sincere to make assumptions of an individual on the basis of a whole.

    You were just complaining about how f’d up the school system is in America. Wouldn’t those conditions be even worse in an inner city setting? Wouldn’t survival of the fittest be against your Christian beliefs? Love your neighbor, as you love yourself? Poverty isn’t exclusively a Black thing, but on average Black people in this country are not as wealthy as their White counterparts.
