    Romney won imo, but republicans are acting like he's going to lead in all of the polls when they're released. They'll be a lot closer and some will be within the margin of error, but more than likely Obama still has the lead.

    Yeah, I just heard last week that a dude was going for the triple crown. If it was a big name player, A-Rod, Pujols, Jeter, that ish would be all you'd hear about.

    To me, this debate was a very decisive win for Romney. How are you so sure he won't lead?

  • It doesn't matter who won the debate. Historical research shows that debates have little to no affect on voting behavior. Politics = apathy in this country. Always has, and always will.

    Not sure I agree historical research has any barring on this election. No matter what side you're on, given the state of our country, I think most people feel this is the most important election in our lifetime. People will turn out to vote in record numbers, IMO.

    Obama leads by 8% in Ohio and was up like 2-3% in VA and Florida (which is in the margin of error) I don't see Romney going ahead in Ohio or going beyond the margin of error in either of those two states. I'm not saying the numbers won't change, but I'd be surprised if they changed that much. I think this debate erased the slight lead Obama had built the last couple of weeks.

    Maybe so, but pretty sure it's better to be the guy that 67% think won than the guy 25% think won.

    I disagree. Everyone who thinks this is the biggest election of our lifetimes is probably someone who would have voted otherwise. I feel most of this country is still woefully apathetic towards politics, and this will remain so until we improve our civic education in k-12.

    See, normally I'd think the same. But, I think the situation of "ObamaCare", what's going on in the middle east, the economy, and other very important issues have all come to a deciding head. This election will decide how a lot of very important topics will go. I think people, normally disinterested in voting, have strong opinions on one or more of these issues and will be inspired to vote how they feel.

    Only time will tell regarding if voting numbers are up, down, or the same.

    I think Romney will perform the same in the next two debates, but he needs to make sure he doesn't push Obama to the point where he becomes unlikable. And Obama just needs to look more engaged and have more details. Romney seemed like he had twice the information that Obama did and it made Obama look slow and unprepared imo. Outside of the debates Romney needs to step up his game, because if his performance continues the way it is right now he won't win, even if he does dominate the next two debates. This is all my opinion though so I wouldn't be shocked if everything I predict is wrong. lol

    lol My research is focused on if the government should be protecting people from themselves using Social Contract theory as a base for this research. So I can't answer your question.

    This election will not turn on foreign affairs. It will turn on which candidate the American people believe is more likely to fix the economy. With a strong economy, the USA has no peer in the world.
