Who are the greatest pair of siblings in sports history?

  • Dizzy and Daffy Dean won 96 games between them in 1933 and '34.

    Jim and Phil Niekro won 71 games in two season.

    Good call on the Millers. I sat next to their parents when USC played ucla in a men's-women's double header in the 1980s. I rooted for Cheryl and against Reggie. I think I pissed Pops off a little as USC won the game in 3 OTs.

  • Venus and Serina Williams take this by a large margin.

    Peyton and Eli are head and shoulders 2nd place here, but because it's Tennis (not football) and because its WOMEN'S tennis...they (Williams sisters) are getting downplayed.

    Tennis is a world wide sport, and both Venus and Serina have had extended periods where they were bar-none the best in the world.

    NFL is really just America, and plus it's a TEAM sport (while tennis is more of an individual sport).

    Now, granted, winning a superbowl is much more difficult than winning a grand slam in tennis IMO, but when you really look at it can you say that both Eli and Peyton had extended periods where they were bar-none the best QB's in the world? I mean, i can see Peyton...but not Eli.

    To translate the Williams sisters over to football, it would be like if Tom Brady and Peyton Manning were brothers.

    Yes, he played well in those superbowls. He deserved it.

    But we all know that first team won games on defense (as a unit, not because of an individual...thereby leaving MVP up for grabs).

    Even the years he won Superbowl MVP he wasnt considered a top-3 QB in the league...hell maybe not even top-5.

    Serina and Venus went through multi-year spans where they were undesputedly #1 in the world.

    In the last 52 tennis Grand Slams, going all the way back until either won their first grand slam, Serena in 99, they've combined to win 21 of them. If you go back to the first of that year in 99, it's 21 in 55 slams

    In the last 14 years, one of them has won 1 grand slam every year except for three.

    The only other multiple slam winners since 99 are Lindsey Davenport, Jennifer Capriati, Justine Henin, Maria Sharapova, Svetlana Kuznetsova, Kim Clijsters, and Amélie Mauresmo.

    Granted 4 slams per year gives you more chances to win

    The last 14 years the manning's have represented 4 superbowls, winning three of them.

    Peyton's been the MVP of the league 4 times, Eli none. Only other multiple mvp winner is Brady

    Eli's been the MVP of the superbowl twice, Peyton once.

    The only other multiple superbowl winners in that time are Brady and Roethlisberger
