Who are your schools top three linebackers all time

  • Already been said, but Derrick Thomas, Cornelius Bennett, and Leroy Jordan.

Not saying those are the best 3, but nobody would ever convince me there's been a better college LBer than DT.

    Bright one here.

Already giving Foster a slot ahead Jordan, Bennett, or Thomas.

If I was asked today if I could have Foster, CJ Mosley, or Trey Depriest, Foster would be the last player I would take.

Give me a kid who has proven it on the field every time. Don't be a fool.

    I think he was joking.

I know i'm gonna be a homer but that would be tough to top for a team. We can also substitute Rolando. He was a BEAST in college. Playing average so far(I guess?) in the NFL

Lebron James is easily the best basketball player in the league currently...

Shame, what happened to Kurt. He was facing an extremely tough situation and I can't say I blame him, but I wish he would have talked to a friend first.

Great guy and he had a great life til recently.

I meant out of the current and near current players, there is only one player who could
move into that Top 3, and yes it is Foster.

Nico,CJ and Trey have been studs, but I'd be willing to bet just about anything that I don't have of worth that RF leaves Alabama with AT LEAST a consensus AA year, a Butkus award, a NC, and a SECC. Possibly could win the other defensive awards eligible for and will easily be a Top 10 draft pick in 2016.

Could easily throw him in with that second group -- no one is close to Speils in my mind though.

It really was a very sad situation. He was an outstanding player, and was one that I enjoyed watching. It is to bad he couldnt not get help!

Foster has potential to be great but I was thinking about player already on board or in the last few years. D Ryans has a good start want to see how he bounces back after the injury. He's put up some great numbers in the NFL.

There is a little more to it than that. Wasn't a depression issue for the most part.

  • all these Buckeyes are nuts....any Buckeye list with LAuranitis not in it is absurd. The guy was a 3 time all-american....THE only one is OSU history. Guy might be THE best LB of all time at OSU, but top 3 is a definite no-brainer.

    He's fifth on my list.

    Spielman is Spielman.

Cousineau was the number one pick in the draft, and went to Canada because they were willing to pay double what he could make in the NFL...Pretty sick. He had 211 tackles in an 11 game season, thats almost 20 a game.

AJ Hawk versus Texas is the best performance I've seen a LB have for OSU.

Katz vs the animal you could debate, but IMO the three above are clearly better.

Argument for Ryans and Lowe could be made.

No, Bama has had other greats at LB, but these are the undisputable top 3 (order is up for debate).

    Agree with Spiels...

Cous being the #1 pick in the draft is blah...Sure its nice, but Jemarcus Russell was a #1 pick.

Hawk was a beast, no doubt. But he had 1 absurdly great year in 2005. He was good before that, but not "all time great material".

The Animal verse TExas the next year had a game that would rival Hawks game. Plus, he was the most consistently great player i could ever remember in my lifetime. You could guarantee he was making 10-15 solo tackles a game, and other plays. Plus, being the only 3 time All American as a LB in OSU history is unbelievable. The guy owns Buckeye Grove. Having him outside of the top 3 is sham IMO.

  • Since I have lived in Arizona for a while here are the Wildcats top three iyam

    Lance Briggs
    Antonio Pierce
    Spencer Larsen?

Tedy Bruschi played DE in college...

Not the top threesome, but pretty good for a school not known for its FB program.
