    Happens all the time. Just a week ago another 17 year old black male was shot in Sanford. What about his mother? Does she matter less bc her sons shooter was also black? Where is the outrage on that? It doesn't fit their agenda so it therefore it really doesn't matter. Shame.

    People can use this Case to bring light to injustice going on in that state/ Then its a great thing. offcourse there mothers lossing their sons and daughters. So i hope those other cases get justice too. And dont forget if it wasnt for The his mom , and dad doing social media online with their Trayvon Martin Petition. This case might have disappeared long time ago.

    No it wouldn't have. A guy shot and killed a 17 year old. This case wasn't "disappearing".

    No, the state still has a the burden of proof. They need to prove that it wasn't self defense. And for a 2nd degree murder, they have to prove that Zimmerman assaulted Martin. Following Martin around isn't assault.

    The state is going to have a really hard time here unless someone testifies that they saw Zimmerman attack Martin first. I haven't heard that anywhere (actually, we have all heard the opposite).

    You haven't heard the opposite, except from zimmerman. Other than that, we've only heard that martin was winning.

    However, his girl friends says that zimmerman pushed first. Other witnesses say that the two were arguing before the fight which completely contradicts zimmerman's story that he was jumped from behind.

    I base my "thug" comment on the fact that:

    1) He was suspended from school
    2) People have reported that he may have been into *SOME* gang related activity
    3) His family and the media refuses to release a current picture of him
    4) His reported actions when he went up to Zimmerman and asked if he had a problem and when he said "no", Martin said "Well now you do" and started beating him up (all alegedly).

    When you put all of that together, I would call him a thug.

    And no, wearing a hoodie has nothing to do with it.

    I was going by what police said that a wittness told them.

    Police never said they saw trayvon strike first. He saw trayvon on top winning, but he didn't see who threw first punch. That guy didn't see the shooting either. Another witness said that immediately after the shoot she saw zimmerman standing over the body.......so who knows.

    But there are a few that claim to hear the two arguing before the fight which us why the police was called in the first place. If that is the case, martin didn't jump him from out of the blue like zimmermam claims.

    I keep hearing certain people complain that others have only followed the media story while at the same time only following the media story (a different media base).

  • The biggest evidence, IMO, is how far away the body was from Zimmerman's car. How far away Zimmerman was when he shot the kid is also big evidence which they are working on right now.

  • Zimmerman originally said that he never even chased the kid. Even after the 911 tapes came out, his friend was on fox saying he didnt chase him.
    The body was nowhere near his car, they were fighting in somebody's backyard.

    Zimmerman also says that he left the car to get the street name when trayvon attacked him from behind.
    However, there are only three street in the entire community. But lets say he forgot. Multiple witnesses claim that the two were arguing before the fight.

    Thee ate multiple holes in the story. It'll all play out in court though.

    You guys have no idea what kind of evidence the state has. They might have 5 eye witnesses who didnt want their names in the paper intiially. I dont think anyone believes that federaly appointed prosecuter decided to just have the guy arrested on a bogus charge because of facebook twitter protests. The Sanford Police never investigated anything, They took a statement from Zimmerman and never bothered to verify anything he told them. Does his story add up? Im thinking it doesnt based on new evidence that was discovered after a legitimate investigation.

    Also,Keep in mind that there is a seperate investigation into the Police Departments handling of the investigation that night. The Police chief was basically fired and there is evidence that Zimmerman's father influenced the DA and the chief.Thats the most interesting part of this case. Did the Police think they'd be able to just sweep this thing under the rug?

    Exactly. A 17-year-old unarmed American citizen was killed by someone, and we have a very good idea of who did it.

    It's disheartening to see some of the posters on here be so hostile to letting justice take its course. Regardless of what political hacks are advancing their careers off this tragedy, it shouldn't be this political.

    Whether you think shes credible or not, others heard them argue before the fight. Zimmerman says not only did he not chase martin, but martin jumped him from behind.

  • Whether you believe the fight occured how Zimmerman said or not, Zimmerman still [probably] shot an unarmed 140 lbs. kid when he wasn't in immediate danger any longer (distance of body). If he pulled the trigger, he's a danger to society.

    Apparently you are clueless as well on how the law reads. ONE person saw the whole thing. ONE person will testify as to how the events of that night took place. Point Zimmerman.

    When I got my concealed weapon permit, I was talking to the instructor afterwards & it got brought into conversation about actually shooting someone. He basically said "if you ever have to shoot someone, just make sure your side of the story will be the only one told to the police".

    But when he says something intentionally inaccurate, it gives more weight to the others. Zimmerman already has different stories from his brother, father and friends.

    Bottom line, the evidence shows that they were nowhere near the vehicle and there was a confrontation. Both of those prove that zimmerman isn't terming everything our outright lying.
