Who gets heisman?

  • I'm a Texas A&M fan, so obviously I think Manziel should win. Who do you all have?

    Very much agree. Not that impressed with Teo(as a heisman candidate). I think he has a good story so people fall in love with him. I'd put Klein in their, somewhere at the bottom.

  • I saw Johnny Football in Tuscaloosa and he is the real deal. Not to meantion he broke the SEC QB Record for most yards. Think he wins big.

  • They should cancel the award if Manziel doesn't win it. Possibly the greatest statistical season in SEC history for a QB. He broke Cam's total yardage and Cam played 2 more games. He might get close to 5,000 yards and 50 TDs with his bowl game.

    Yea, but from what I heard from Herbstreit during the ND-USC game, there are a number of older voters who just won't vote for a freshman. It's quite possible Manziel could be cheated by a bunch of "AARP" guys.

  • In watching all the post game clips roll out, it's obvious that Teo has two things going for him if he's going to win. One, is that Lee laid an egg tonight and got shit out. That is partly due to Teo (got his pick covering him). So basically Lee is out and it's down to Teo and Johnny.

    This is where the second thing going for him is so HUGE. Teo is all over everything tonight. Manziel isn't going to Miami, Teo is. Everything tonight and everything in the next 45 days is going to be about ND and Teo. He's going to be in the news so much that everyone will get sick of it. How many interviews is Teo going to have in the weeks to come, and Johnny's face is nowhere to be seen.

    And I think that clinches it for him. I really think we're gonna see him hold up the hardware. The graphic on his comparison to Woodson was amazing. He has had a better season than Woodson when he won it. There are also enough voters absolutely biased against a Freshman that Teo will get their votes as well.

    I really think it's over. Congrats Teo.

    Hard to believe Woodson won the trophy over Manning. Just another reason the award has become a joke. I didn't care even when Ingram won it. It is the worst award in sports and is overhyped.

    Manziel is easily the best player in CFB this year regardless of who wins the hiesman.

    Yep Teo will get all that attention but remember the Heisman voting is in what, 2 weeks? Johnny football has this thing imo.

    Manziel should run away with this thing at this point, and if he doesn't, the only excuse will be because he's a freshman. Like that fvcking matters. They need to sit some of these blue haired people down and give their votes to people that can actually stay awake past 7 pm.

    Woodson also played on offense at times and returned kicks if I remember correctly. Teo doesn't do either. He's not going to win the Heisman unless the dipshit old guys decide they won't allow a freshman to win it. Manziel deserves the thing honestly and I love Teo as a player.

You want them to throw out the freshman bias against a player you have to throw out the freshman bias for that you just mentioned. Don't know if I worded that right, It's early... You can't be mad that the Heisman people use the freshman excuse to not give it to them then turn around and use that same excuse for a poor performance and excuse to give him the heisman.

    2.Lee - fantastic season but missed showcase opp vs ND (game winner / multi TD effort / KRet TD)

    Your taking my comment wrong. Someone said that JF looked like shit against UF and honestly he didn't. His stats speak for themselves. He looked better than any other qb that UF played all year long to this point. I probably shouldn't have thrown the freshman thing in there. He has better stats than Tebow and Cam had when they won for christ's sake.

    I think he should win. Guy had a bad game against LSU and not a great one against UF but there isn't a candidate that hasn't had a bad game this year.
