Who gets heisman?

    I think JF should win but this is no excuse. Sure it was a good game since it was his first start but that shouldn't matter. You want them to throw out the freshman bias against a player you have to throw out the freshman bias for that you just mentioned. Don't know if I worded that right, It's early... You can't be mad that the Heisman people use the freshman excuse to not give it to them then turn around and use that same excuse for a poor performance and excuse to give him the heisman.

    His performance against UF wasn't that poor, it just wasn't what we are now used to seeing from him.

    23/30 173 yards 0 TDs 0 INTs, 60 rush yards with 1 TD

    It needs to be understood that the UF game was his first ever action in a college football game. It was aTm first game of the season. Cam and Tebow had games in their hiesman season where their numbers were not spectacular. Cam against Miss State and Tebow against LSU.

    He is the best player in college football this year and produced the best season in SEC history for a QB. His year in college should not matter.

    The jizz jar has to be the strangest. I have told some people that don't follow college as much as I do about this "tradition" and they do not believe me.

    which makes my point that the Heisman is awarded on the body of work not week 2, 5, or 8.

    its week 1 thru 12 and JM has the #'s ( and he isnt in the WAC), better than Tebow, better than Cam,
    and more importantly better than any & all in 2012.

    hate to see it go to a freshman but the little sob deserves it.

    They should cancel the award if Manziel doesn't win it. Possibly the greatest statistical season in SEC history for a QB. He broke Cam's total yardage and Cam played 2 more games. He might get close to 5,000 yards and 50 TDs with his bowl game.

    This, I would consider it fraudulent if he doesn't win

    no-one is using an excuse. He played pretty well against UF IMO. The problem is, he has set the standard so high that people think 240 yards and a TD means he didn't play well. I'm just saying, UF has a good defense and he was playing his game ever and still put up pretty good numbers. Remember, this was started by someone suggesting Manziel shouldn't win because he didn't look good against UF and LSU. The kid has produced the single best season by a QB in the SEC EVER. That deserves the hiesman...hands down. If he doesn't win it, it's a joke.

    Yeah, a co worker was all jazzed up when they beat Bama, and didn't understand why I was rooting for Bama to win that game. I tried to explain the jizz jar, the weird dog worship, the (I'll omit what I would put here because it may get my post deleted, but it involved the jar) and the nut squeezing. He flat out didn't believe me. It's so sick and twisted, I don't blame him.

    There are two things that would make me dissasociate with my University that I love so dear.
    Number one on the list would be the people running the university helping a child molestor continue to molest children.
    Number two would be our students gathering in mass to jizz in a jar.

    I can live with a few flipped cars and burned couches.

  • Teo is a good football player but other than INT's his numbers aren't much better than some other first round LB's the last few years. He's in the conversation because he plays for an undefeated ND team and because he's a good story. Don't get me wrong. He's a great player but not sure he should be involved in the Heisman talk. Manziel is clearly the best player in the best conference in football. If he doesn't win, the heisman voters will reinforce what most already know. The award is not what it claims to be.

    Wrong. No need to make up crap for Manziel. His stats speak for themselves. Te'o had 5 tackles and JM had 5 TDs those are equal.
