The NBA pretty much pays the WNBA players salaries, and a lot of those girls get paid way more overseas.

The WNBA is one of Sterns biggest mistakes and he would take so much heat for disbanding it so he just keeps it afloat

I actually went to several games back in the late 1990s to see Cynthia Cooper play. She was like a combination of the female Magic/ Jordan.
Haven't attended a game since that time.
Tell people what they want to hear, they will like you. Tell them the actual truth...they may not.

It's sad to see people make fun of the WNBA, yes it's boring and yes I would never watch but how would you like playing a sport for 10+ years and then be told, "Oh i'm sorry you're going to have to go work 9 to 5 because we have nowhere for you to play."
These girls have just as much a right to play basketball for a profession as men.

I think they are starting to even the books out due to the fact they're allowing sponsors to throw their names on everything. From the court to the jerseys, they're taking in hefty ad revenues.
