I always think of UT as Texas but depending on the context, I would see it as Tennesee.

Boise State College (1969-1974)
lots of schools are named "city" state u. not uncommon at all. i went to high school in new hampshire and the 3 state schools there were the university of new hampshire, plymouth state university, and keene state university.
