Who on here lives a sober lifestyle

  • yeah yeah i know its not cool but screw you guys. im going sober. i got in to somet trouble last week (again) and decided to give up the booze. I was getting hammered like 3-4 times a week and this past weekend was awful not going out. all my friends drink like mad men so i avoided them. my question is, for a young single sober man what on earth is there to do for fun?

  • 26, been married for just over 5 years. No kids... yet.

    You have to be smart enough to know when to stop. Bottom line. I'm not a heavy drinker anymore. I'll sit down, have a couple Sam Adams, or if I'm at a bar a couple Yuenglings. Why get hammered? After I turned 19 or so I stopped getting trashed because it was just stupid.

    To answer the question... a sober lifestyle? I would say yes, because I never drink to get drunk. I think learning to have a good time with friends without getting hammered comes with maturity and life lessons. Have a few beers, chill with friends, go home and feel great in the morning instead of hungover. Oh, and you don't get in trouble and get put on probationbiggrin

    This. I go out a lot, but some days (like this past Saturday) I just want to sit at home and be a kid. Play some video games, catch up on some TV, etc.

    However, good luck to you in your purely sober endeavor, sir.

    i have a little problem with self control with alcohol. i would always say "ill just have 2 or 3" then id end up getting stupid drunk for some reason. im giving it up all together for now but i hope in some time ill be able to just have a couple
