Who will Ohio State & Michigan State fans pull for?

  • As a Buckeye - two scenarios.

    1) If Michigan loses, it makes me warm and fuzzy inside just knowing they're starting the season with a bang at 0-1.
    2) If Michigan wins, it will somehow wind up biting tOSU in the ass as it just goes to show that Michigan can beat the SEC whilst Ohio State remains winless. Therefore, the neverending yapping of how Michigan is back!

    That's okay. It leads more suspense and buildup for The GAME. With that said, goblue.

  • Michigan needs a lot of things to go right to win. First and foremost is stopping the run, we get that down and we'll have a good shot.

    As I said, I don't think Michigan will win. But if they manage to pull the upset I will be freaking loving it.

    Just being down in Jerry World, two storied programs, to start off the season with the national focus on this game is a great treat.

    That is pretty much how I look at the game. Alabama "should" win, but Michigan is playing with house money. Michigan has nothing to lose and can show how far they've come by giving the defending National Champs a game and possibly winning. But like I said earlier I won't be watching, Me and my Spartan bros will be busy doing body shots off the ladies.

    UM and MSU aren't rivals. At best MSU is UM's 6th or 7th biggest rival. Duh, everyone knows that.

  • I'm just ready for this game to kick off. Healthy Eddie Lacy, beast O-Line, and for this first time that I can remember a COMPLETE WR core. It will be nice watching the ball go through the air and not having to pray your 5'9" will come down with it(Appreciate what you did though Maze).

    You got it right man. You can have skill guys out the butt, but if your big nasty linemen on both sides can't at least hold their own then that team will be in trouble. I think our O-Line will be good, our D-Line should do well and good, but we need a NT lol. Which is a huge cog in the 3-4 as everyone knows.

    Stack the box with 7-9 guys and we'll go airmail on you... just as we did against LSU. Our passing game will be even better next year. We have accumulated about 5 WR's that were Top 10 WR's in their respective class. I think our O-Line will be the best in the country and possibly one of the best ever... and our QB will be in his 2nd year of starting. So we got all of that AND THEN we have all of our Top 3 RB's from various classes.

    All of that said, I'm interested to see what Hoke can do in his 2nd year. I think he'll turn out to be one of the best coaches in the country.

    Our secondary should be pretty good this year. Have been hearing very good things about them this spring. Have been hearing very good things about the linebackers as well. There is good depth and experience at both position groupsand the two frosh LB's and the frosh safety that enrolled early are doing very good.

    Biggest concern for our defense will be our defensive line. It is being rebuilt retooled a bit because of graduation of Mike Martin and Ryan Van Bergen- our starting DT's last year.
