Who will have the most impressive combine

If there's one thing I can't knock on Fitzpatrick, it's that he's good with young receivers. I can't see the Bills taking another QB with the idea that they'll step in right away, so Patterson will have at least a bit of time with Fitz. Our WR coach is Ike Hilliard (the former Giants/Jags WR) and he did some really good work with Leonard Hankerson and Aldrick Robinson for the Redskins last year, so I'm confident in him too.

    Ike! Love that guy... Memories

Is he actually that fast? I don't know what Goodwin's reported 40 times are like, but I remember when Urban Meyer used to underreport his players' 40 times, so Haden was thought to run around a 4.3 and ended up putting up a 4.5+.

That being said, I don't know anything about Goodwin, so if he's that fast, then damn. Good for him.

A horns fan posted earlier that Goodwin claims a 4.28 40m time, and I'm not sure if that's realistic or not... but he has legit track times to back up those claims. His fastest 100m that I can find for him is a 10.24, which could put him under 4.3 if he hits it right.

    Tyler Eifert

Don't think ND has any that own the combine, but I think Cierre Woods surprises folks. Eifert will shine in receiving drills, but not expecting him to kill in the other physical aspects.

  • A few t watch for LSU that are good at testing

Micheal Ford-watch his 40 and his lifting numbers. Kid's a monster on the weights

Mingo-will destroy the athletic portions. Honestly the only concern is what he weighs in at. Freakish athlete

Tharold Simon-he's gonna test well if he's been working. A 6'3 kid with his athletic ability at CB gets people's attention

Mathieu-just because I'm interested to see just how big he really is and how he tests. Betting neither are what people think. He's small and not really as fast as he appears. Put him on the field and he turns beast.

How many are you guessing? Braxton Cave is a freak on the weights too.

  • Watson > Fluker

Its not even that close, Watson is ten times the talent

Fluker is just a big ol bear that played for Bama, so he gets the hype

Watson is the much better talent, player and his upside kills DJ's

As a Bills fan, I know our coaches have been looking at him, and I can't honestly say I'd be upset if we got him. I'd prefer LB help, but I doubt Jarvis Jones falls to 8, Alec Ogletree just tanked his stock with the DUI, and Manti Te'o is Manti Te'o, so I don't know if there'll really be a player worth taking. We desperately need a complement to Stevie Johnson, and Patterson could be that guy.

Let him fall to the vikings! lol but I also would like to see paterson come up to buffalo..that or if jarvis in some crazy world falls down to 8 as you said

Not too many bug numbers coming out for us this year.

Alec Ogletree will blow up the combine. Cornelius Washington should also do really well.

Assuming he's not passed out on the sideline you could be right.

  • For Michigan State:

Tight end Dion Sims - 6'4.7 262 lbs (big, fast, athletic TE that just hasn't been healthy during college)

Defensive end William Gholston - Athletic freak of a DE who still needs to improve his technique but will probably go pretty high based on his potential alone

Jesse Williams will set the combine bench record at 52

John Simon will bench press Jesse Williams 53 times

he wouldn't let his players pose in the Playboy All-American magazine edition, he said, "Cause you can't play football with an erection."

    Urban Buckeye

  • I think from Nebraska you have to go with Rex Burkhead.

He's going to impress peoe with his shuttle I would guess if there was ever a guy to impress someone in the interview it's be this guy.

He will be a fan favorite for whatever lucky team picks him. The kid will be a steal whenever he gets picked.

Probably 4th or 5th round cuz he's white.

Baker Steinkuler is an interesting prospect for a 3-4 DE. hasn't he outside before but would fit nicely in the right scheme. Green Bay would be a nice fit for him. good value anywhere in the 3rd day.

  • Oregon:

Dion Jordan's going to blow the combine up. He's 6'7", 250 ahd maybe more now. He's going to run a low 4.4's 40. He's going to show he can rush thr edge as quick or quicker then any DE's in the draft. He can rush standing up and with his hands in the dirt.

Being an ex TE he knows a TE/WR/RB's routes which makes him excellent in pass coverage. A 6'7", 250 lbs DE that runs a 4.4 40 can and did cover anyone from a TE to a WR. He's already a top 15 pick and after the combine I won't be shocked if he goes in top 5. Lions, Jets, Bills, Chargers or Saints will take him.

Kiko Alonso is a 6'4.5", 250 lbs ILB and he's extremely physical, quick and athletic. He'll get more recognition after the combine and his stock will jump. Possibly a 2nd rd pick. No later then rd 3.

Kyle Long is a 6'7.5", 315 lbs OG who's athleticism is off the charts. He only played D1 football for one year and jumped into a starting roll at LG and he basically shut every defender he faced down. He pulls with purpose and is great at blocking at the second level. He's ideal size for an OL. If his arms were a bit longer he'd be projected at tackle, but it looks like guard is his bread and butter.

Great pedigree. Dad is a hall of famer and his brother is a probowl DE currently. Both Howie and Chris said Kyle is the best athlete in the family. If Long would've been eligable to come back one more year at Oregon, there's no doubt in my mind he'd be a first round pick. Unfortunately thr lack of exposure will hurt a bit. I see him going in the 2nd round. Maybe, just maybe he can crack the first round after an impressive combine, but round 2 sounds about right.

If Jordan runs that fast I'll shit the bed. Personally think Mingo has the fastest 40x out of the DE's.
