No one 'till the 3rd round. I've seen Josh Chapman mocked to us regularly, that would be a nice pickup but i am more worried about linebacker and secondary.

I usually don't mind our draft positions, I just hate seeing guys leave town after four,five yeara because they want a bigger contract. We have one cheap-ass front office.

The Dolphins are expected to pick Ryan Tannehill...a QB I was never that impressed with at TAMU....who I will now be a fan of in the NFL.

I'm going to go with Floyd or Gilmore, in that order. That's fine if Nix says the draft is deep, but IMO that doesn't mean jack. All that matters is how good they think Floyd is. If they're sitting on the board at 10, and Floyd is the best prospect on their board, are they really going to take a lesser prospect at another position simply because they think they could get a WR later on? Bird in the hand worth two in the bush and all that.

I've actually done an analysis (it was a follow-up to one I did last year) on Nix and how he drafts, using his time in San Diego as an indicator. I posted it on another message board, but it was picked up by someone and he's going to post an article on his website soon. I'll link it when he does.

I'm down for some more Bama guys like I said.

I certainly have not one complaint about Dareus, that kid is a straight man. He was on his own for the most part last year once Kyle Williams went down, and he still was a beast. Looking forward to him this year after experience and some reinforcements beside him.

Agreed, I like the Spiller and Dareus picks. The thing about Spiller is that I didn't see him as a RB when he was drafted. Too many people just complained about it because he played a position we didn't think was a need. Too many people ignored the fact that our team lacked overall talent, period, and that Spiller provided it.

We usually have a lot of solid guys, but we are lacking in superstars at certain positions. We need that Calvin Johnson, that Chris Johnson (not the 2011 version), that player who can break it open and change a game completely even if he doesn't have the ball. That's why I liked the pick.

Nix loves to draft CB's early and often. I think 5 of his 9 first round picks in SD were CB's. He also tends to draft at least two WR's a year after he drafts zero (which we did last year - no WR's taken). Even though it's against his M.O., I think he'll draft an OT early as well. He's only ever drafted one OT in the top 3 rounds - Marcus McNeill. Never taken an OT in the first round, but due to need I think it's a possibility - just not a very good one.

I agree with what you said exactly. Speaking of McNeil I wouldn't mind offering him a 1 year deal after the draft to provide some experience, and perhaps start and show Hairston the ropes a little bit. He's an injury risk no doubt, but if he is healthy he can be an asset to a team lacking tackles.

I think it's Floyd vs. Gilmore vs. Kirkpatrick round 1, with an outside shot at Glenn.

I'd like to say the Browns will draft Richardson but it's the Browns. So outside of completely screwing up the pick, who knows what they'll do.

They certainly need DeCastro, but I've also heard all the talk about how he's not a "Jerry Jones pick" (i.e. flashy, great measurables, etc.). What do you think about the Dontari Poe rumors?

Looking like Pittsburgh will take Hightower. I like the pick, as Farrior needs replaced. Normally I wouldn't be happy, but this is a very weak year for CB, so I'm fine with Hightower. Hightower and Timmons inside Harrison and Woodley. Just orgasmic.
