Who will your NFL team draft?

  • I think the Bucs take Claiborne. I don't care what his Wonderlik score was, he has to be smarter than Talib.

I really don't think you need to worry about Dre's off the field actions, but that's just my opinion.

I'll be honest, I haven't looked into it at all, just know that the rumors of them exist. The Bills are often the type of team who automatically stay away from guys with any issues like that, which is why I've assumed they bumped him down the list. That's JMO.

I didn't look into it, but I saw a post on another board that said there is actually a negative correlation between Wonderlic test scores and being a good CB. i.e. good CB's tend to have lower test scores. Was interesting.

That and TE were the only positions that had statistically significant correlations, and both were negative ones.

They certainly need DeCastro, but I've also heard all the talk about how he's not a "Jerry Jones pick" (i.e. flashy, great measurables, etc.). What do you think about the Dontari Poe rumors?

Poe is definitely a "Jerry Jones pick"

I wouldn't lose it if they drafted him at 14.

What I really hope for is that Andre Branch, OLB/DE, Clemson is there for them to take @45th overall.

  • Hold on, let me pull up my Big Board spreadsheet I created. Right now for my Detroit Lions, I have...

1st round - Jonathan Martin OT Stanford

2nd round - Josh Robinson CB UCF

3rd round - David Wilson RB VT

4th round - Jayron Hosley CB VT

5th round - Amini Silatolu OG MW St

6th round - (forfeited for tampering)

7th round - Janzen Jackson S/Donte Paige-Moss DE <----I say we take a flyer on one of these players whos stock has plummeted due to character concerns.

That would be an impressive draft if that come to fruition.

  • For the Packers I think OLB is top priority. Maybe Shea McClellin, Andre Branch or Nick Perry in that order. Also we need a DE and DB help. Safety could be a bigger need than DE depending on Nick Collins health. That being said Thompson doesnt draft based on need but this year it looks like some DEs and OLBs will be going late 1 early 2nd.

  • For the Rams I hope they don't pick Blackmon not sold on him. Other than that I'll be fine with anybody. I wouldn't be surprised if they traded down again if a team fell in love with Blackmon.

I'm a fan of Blackmon, but I understand his shortcomings. Realistically, the Rams need people around Bradford - OL, WR, etc. It's unfortunate there were no top 3 WR's this year (AJ Green/Calvin Johnson types).

Blackmon compares Much better to Crabtree then aj or julio. I think hakeem nicks is his ceiling. Nicks plays with a great qb and has other good players around him.

I really think the rams should trade back into each 10 to 13 range and draft Floyd or Fletcher cox in that order. The rams need a lot of picks. You can build a team around Bradford but he isn't going to carry a middle other pack team anywhere. You need talent everywhere and fisher understands that. The rams really have a shot at something special. They have 1st rounders for 2 more years from a team who is clearly 4th best in their division. I don't see the skins with top 5 picks but he rams should have 2 picks in the 8-20 range the next 2 years and tons of picks in this draft. The rams and colts are both set up to be contenders in 3 to 5 years

I think he'll definitely take either an OLB or a DE. Our pass rush was terrible last year because we didn't have anyone who could rush the passer except for Clay, and Raji was tired. I don't think Collins will ever play again...

Trading back into the 10 to 13 range and taking Floyd I would enjoy. I haven't been this excited about the Rams in a while.

  • Packers will take Nick Perry or possible Whitney Mercilus if he falls a bit, I've seen a few with him falling all the way to 28.

I think McClellin is the best fit opposite Mathews. I trust his cover skills better than the others. I hope Crick is around in round two.

yea, who knows what they end up doing. I trust that staff to make the right choices. Its so nice not dreading draft day because you know your team is going to take the right guys.

    Cowboys draft 14th

    Mark Barron, Safety, Ala-BAMA

    Or

    David DeCastro, OG, Stanford

(If they trade out of the 1st round I'm storming the compound)

I wouldn't mind trading down in the 1st just not out of it.

I really want Poe but he wont be there

I'd disagree to an extent. To take my own team, I actually think Blackmon's style of play compares favorably to Stevie Johnson. Blackmon is more aggressive, though, and more likely to be able to dominate a single game. He's great in the short/intermediate game as a physical, athletic player, but can go deep if needed.

    JMO.

And yeah, I agree that the Rams have a shot at something special. You've always got that potential with a QB like Bradford - I'm a fan of his.

I'd like to say the Browns will draft Richardson but it's the Browns. So outside of completely screwing up the pick, who knows what they'll do.

I would guess Tannehill, only because it would be hilarious.

We are exactly 1 week to the NFL draft. Now I could look at the Mock Drafts, but by the looks of it, those guys aren't really close for a lot of the teams. So I interested in who you think your team will draft.

For the Bills, we are picking at #10. All the mock drafts are saying Reilly Reiff and Michael Floyd, I would be surprised if the Bills went with either of those guys. The Bills need a WR, and LT but our GM Buddy Nix says that those positions are very deep in the draft.

I think the Bills go Stephon Gilmore at #10 which I love. Big, fast, physical, can play the run, with long arms. Yes please.

Gilmore would be a reach at 10# for you guys. IMO he’s the 4th best CB in this draft. If I were you guys I would want either Kuechly or Decastro.

Meh on Decastro, Bills interior line is very solid already. And while Kuechly is a nice player, the Bills are locked in with Kelvin Sheppard at MLB, Nick Barnett at WLB, I don't a SLB is worth the 10th selection.

I do think Nix likes Decastro, and it wouldn't be a bad pick, I just would prefer another player.

Gilmore has been climbing boards, he isn't a huge playmaker but Mayock and Cosell seem very high on him. I want Floyd TBH, or a trade down and draft a LT like Glenn while picking up a 3rd.

Im a USC homer but I think Gilmore is the clear #2 CB in this draft. Jenkins has too much baggage and could be out the league in 3 years and Kirkpatrick could easily outgrow CB. Gilmore didnt play much if any CB until his FR. He was the QB at his HS. I bet Jenkins isn't on half the teams draft boards.
