Who's the most crucial player for your team this year?

Maybe not the best or most important player, but the guy that has to fill that one weakness to give your team a chance at greatness.
For Bama, I'd say T. Dixon. The 2nd CB position is the biggest unknown. There is a lot more depth than this point in '10, but that starting spot will be a relative unknown until under fire.

If he decides to come to PSU, it's obviously Danny O'Brien.
If not, it's someone on the offensive line. People need to step up with 1 returning starter and it would be huge if Donovan Smith can claim the starting LT position (RS Freshman).

Tough one for me. I'm going to say Curtis McNeal. The rest of the offense is set, but not a lot of depth at RB.
It is tough to single out any one person on the DL, so for defense, I'll say Lamar Dawson. He is going to be the focal point on defense as MLB. We will see if he becomes the next great #55.

Probably FB Jay Prosch for Auburn. Without Dyer we don't have a true power RB other than maybe a true freshman Jovon Robinson. I think if he can dominate and open up big holes for our speedy RBs than he could absolutely help our transition to this new offense.

For us, it's obviously Jeff Driskel or Jacoby Brissett. Excluding the QB position, we need Xavier Nixon or Chaz Green to step up at that LT position. Then, a WR, any WR to do something (other than Debose on a 9 route). Then, Mack Brown or Mike Gillislee. Hell, we just need help, period.

I feel personally like I have to add the QB development.. Whoever it ends up being. Depends on how the o-line gels as well. I guess for most of us though kite, these are all givens with the QB.. I definately like and agree with Prosch.

Mealer for spring and beginning of the season, Kalis by the end of the season. That is if Miller doesn't take over Center and Barnum moves back to LG. I don't like the lack of Bryant being mentioned by Hoke or Borges so far this spring. Hopefully someone asks about him at a pressed soon.

I think the QB is the most important to our team. But to really get over the 6,7,8 win season Jay Prosch will need to be as good as some expect.

Don't you think it's the defense, period - they need to step up to USC quality. Lots of youth playing for the first time on D last season...and they got better and better after mid-season.
Agree on RB, but the Tre to RB appears to be a good move, and with Nelson A. also wanting to get on the field as a RB give plenty of hope for that position.

Nelson A isn't ready to play RB imo
He will be awful at blocking too, at least right away

The whole front 7 on defense worries me. I chose Lamar Dawson because the OP asked for only 1 player in particular. No real wrong answer imo.
I'm still not comfortable with the running back situation outside of McNeal. I know we have athletes who can play running back, but they have to prove it on the field to me.
