NC State seemed to have a decent QB

    Jimmy Kelly is a HOF.

Vinny Testeverde, Steve Welsh and Bernie Kosar had a great NFL career so I don't think they all sucked.

But I agree recently we stopped producing NFL caliber QB's.

Walsh sucked I still have more arm strength than that dude. Remember being a young fella attending games in the Dome when he started, fortunately it didn't last long. Dallas made out great in that trade I'd bet. ND can throw its name into the ring with the currents bums, Quinn and Clauson, collecting paychecks..

GMAC gets one game and loses, and you compare him to years of USC quarterbacks not breaking the winner's circle?

how bout we let the guy play a few games, find out if it's a team thing, or if he's just a sucky QB?

Bama is not a QB factory - clearly stated and if anyone thinks otherwise, you are stupid.
if any QB from Bama breaks the starting ranks - that is a bad thing for all the so called "QB factories" out there.

AJ is coming back - he'll get another year, maybe one or two championships to help him out. why he won't make it?? really.... no one knows.

what an ass you people are some times. this isnt even a topic of discussion around Bama - no one ever talks about how dominate Bama QBs are.

    get a life.

attempted to utilize NFL stats to compare to two

    Crimson_Ghost replied...
    since 1990 , USC QB's= zero NC rings (1 vacated via BushGate) Bama QB's= 3 w/ a 4th coming in two weeks

    and asked:
better yet, which school has the most QB's to (a) play & b) win a Super Bowl ?
    Crimson_Ghost said...

    I'm still waiting.....

    pi=x if y < overblown gibberish. shrug

    answer....
    since 1990 - USC QB's zero NC's / Bama QB's trying for #4 (on the 7th)

    all-time Super Bowl wins - USC QB's zero / Bama QB's 4

Correct answer is Notre Dame with 5 Super Bowl wins.
Several have 4 like Stanford, Purdue, La Tech.

Several schools like Purdue, ND, and Cal ; just to name a few, have had 3 different QB's start Super Bowls

    Try keep up

And try to stay on subject, which is current NFLQB's, not ones who played before most of us were born.

Also, the topic isn't about college winners or we would be talking about Matt Leinart's 37 career wins and 2 titles or Nebraska's QB's in the 90's.

so you just want to cherry pick your data ?
ok that ones easy .... current NFLers , the answer is still zero Super Bowl wins.

Reggie said sorry but Matt has zero NC's & 36* career wins at SC. coffee

Cherry pick the data- says the guy who started talking about guys that played in the NFL 40-50 years ago. Hilarious, I'm going to have to use that one.

Anyways, from a historical perspective, sure Bama beats SC at NFL production at 1 position, QB, with all that coming before 1980. Good for you guys.

Meanwhile, USC has had more players play and win Super Bowls than any other school. In fact, USC makes Alabama look minor league in terms of NFL production.

SC approx 78 1st rd draft picks and Alabama only about 43. USC 11 NFL HoFers to Bama's 7. SC 5 overall #1 picks in the modern NFL draft era (1967-present) and Alabama 0.

And the most telling, SC players have made 1st team NFL All Pro 89 times compared to about 33 or 34 times for the Tide.

Where did Alabama's players go all these years, CFL?? Go ahead and the change the subject again, because it's all you got left ITT.

All that talent and still have a losing record to Bama.

Just to reinforce Viper's statement, I didn't even take offense to the OP because I still haven't figured out its' purpose. Sure, I'd like to see some Bama QB's start in the NFL, but if I have to choose between future starting NFL QB's and National Championships......not much of choice to make there. When you pass, 3 things can happen and two of them are bad. I'll take my chances pounding the ball. JMO
