Why are the Buckeyes so mad?

  • Buckeyes aren't the only ones mad.

    Best case scenario is this somehow leads to midwest teams landing more DMV talent. That area is loaded with talent that leaves the area, if the B1G's footprint can somehow influence that talent to B1G teams this could be a win. Too bad I don't think that happens.

    PSU recruits there pretty well already, so I think it should help us a little bit, not sure about the more midwest teams though.

  • I am not excited about this but I also realize some of the positives.... I think Maryland has a big upside and it will strengthen recruiting in NJ, but I am not sold until I see how they will break down the divisions and decide on any changes to the OOC schedules.

    loco I doubt PSU will be recruiting anywhere very well in the near future.

  • As if the alternative Addidas uniforms that were made for Wisconsin, Nebraska, and Michigan weren't bad enough......here come's Maryland and their new UA ensemble.

  • I'm not mad... I actually think that Rutgers has some potential. They are right on top of an untapped recruiting hotbed in New Jersey and New York, they are already better than half the B1G, and their recruiting class already ranked about midway in the B1G. Now that they can sell playing in a major conference, their recruiting should get even better. The other nice thing is that I live in Rhode Island. That means that once every other year, there will be a game close to me.
