Actually I would think its because us white people have no reason to be sensetive to racism. Black people on the other hand, have reason to be sensetive, I mean the grand parents of my friends and my grandparents didn't even go to school together. Yes slavery and segregation are over, but in relation to the age of most modern civilizations, it's actually quite a recent event.
