Why did Michigan State allow Gholston back in the game?

  • Is there a reason Sparty is up in arms about this subject? Some of you seem awful defensive.

MSU isn't a very good football program.. takes year of consistent winning to get to that level. - copemoney 1/22/13

I am not a sparty fan...just the husband of a former trainer for college football.

Is there a reason scUM trolls care about and are posting about it?

A kid lays motionless for over a minute and it's cool to put him back in?

    Uh, ok.

I'm sure you're wife is great at her job. She, like any trainer, is not infallible.

There can be several reasons a kid lays motionless. Only one is a concussion. Do you know from the video if he was speaking to them when the trainer was on the ground by him massaging his neck?

That is amazing; your ability to instantly diagnois an injury from your couch. I guess I have to rely upon the medial experts on the field that actually checked Gholston out hands on.

If you honestly believe he got the wind knocked out of him, despite the fact he was knocked out cold and was motionless on the ground for over a minute, then you are truly a complete dumbass.

    You're right.

The wind must have gotten knocked out of him.

That's what the MSU training staff is claiming.

You're talking out of your ass. The only people who know what the severity was, were the medial professionals on the sidelines. I'm sure they would risk their license and a lawsuit to let a kid play that they did not, in their expert medical opinion, feel was ready. But obviously the message board troll Dr. devidee is all knowing.

Clearly you haven't been on a CFB sideline and understand what the cost of winning entails. Or the lengths kids will go to to continue to play....I'm sure a Dr would never do something he shouldn't in the risk of keeping a job...panic

I don't recall seeing you down in the pile investigating? Truth is, no-one here knows the facts. Will was not moving, but you cannot say he was knocked out. Players are taught to lay still when hit near the head until a trainer get's to them. You have no idea if he had a concussion. The Trainers checked him, gave him a concussion test and he passed 100% - per the MSU office tweets. I trust their knowledge of the facts far more than you trolls that are trying to create an issue where none exists.

So I take it by your answer you do no know. I did not think so. Now that we both agree you have no idea, what if he is speaking when the trainers arrive and he tells them he got the wind knocked out of him, or he took a stinger to the neck, etc? Then they take him to the sideline and he passes the tests? What then? Unlike you, they are on the sidelines working, not watching instant replay on the tv.

Sorry when you get your skull cracked you do not go through the process of " ok I may be hurt, the trainers taught me I shouldn't move...Brax please stay still we may have an injury" lolz...I've had severe concussions...I jump up at all cost it's the competitive nature of not letting them think they've defeated you. Kids don't immediately jump up when they are paralyzed or unconscious or close to it..sorry your arms don't go completely limp when you get a boo boo.

Again, I'll let the video evidence speak for itself.

You, yourself, said you think he was knocked out cold.

Nope neither was anyone here. The difference is she has years of dealing with many situations on the field...unlike the homers on a message board.

1 I'm curious why you are taking such a personal interest in this thread and defending it at all costs

2 how do being homers play a role in this thread? It's not like Gholston made a play to beat us so we have no personal issue other than the staff circumvented to let a kid play when they shouldn't have.

3 why you just don't tell Devidee that you are actually a big fan of his.
