Why did Michigan State allow Gholston back in the game?

    Officials have the last say in who plays. Why would that official be part of the lie that OSU and UM fans are claiming? Did we pay the ref? Does he just hate Gholston?

    Seems like a lot if unemployed buckeye and walverines arguing about the integrity of Big Ten officials and trained medical professionals. Both of whom could lose their careers and face severe lawsuits.

    The Irony of an Iowa fan posting this is too much. Perhaps your kidneys are not working properly and it's causing a lapse in your brain function.

    Being that I'm 19 and not of the legal age to consume alcohol in the US, I don't think this is a case. Sure, Iowa has had some problems with football players and incidents, but you know, that has nothing to do with my ability, or lack there of, to consume alcohol. Nor does it in anyway have anything to do will Gholston's injury on Saturday. Nice try though, anything else?

    Grade 3: Knocked Out - Blacked Out Any loss of consciousness, no matter how brief, even if the athlete successfully completes all of the exams after he or she returns to consciousness, is a grade 3 concussions requiring medical attention:

    Immobilize the athlete's head and call an ambulance.

    If the athlete wakes up within one minute and does not have any neck pain, call an ambulance or ask a responsible adult to take the player to an emergency room. If the athlete is unconscious longer than one minute, or complains of neck pain after returning from consciousness, assume that a spine injury exists. Call an ambulance. While waiting for it to arrive, keep the athlete's head from being moved. Expect the athlete to be prohibited from taking part in activity for a minimum of two weeks to one month.

    Trying to be serious here, this is the main point of the thread. It doesn't matter if he passes all of the tests, if he is unconscious at all, which he clearly is, he is, by definition, concussed.
