Why do people ignore oversigning?

  • Bama Boz said...

The whining that Bama does this and Bama does that its not fair gets really old. Dont worry, coach Urbs is just getting warmed up on how he opperates. Question--so when Urbs got to Ohio, why were there kids all of a sudden leaving or transfering or something? I guess god didnt speak to him about them???

And why do you care so much? Shouldnt you be worrying about the "Golden Flashes"?

He honored all the scholarships from the class he inherited.

Guys left who wasn't a fit for his style. nick is still running guys off to make room.

Regardless, if you scrubs sign 25 or less every year. The ride is over. We're going to win titles on the level playing field. Y'all def wouldn't want to see Brax if we weeded guys out and kept the best.

We will keep weeding guys out, winning championships and wondering what if

Doubt it with the playoff coming. Y'all wouldn't have beat a unbeatable OSU team this year.

Ohio state was unbeatable. You scrubs lost to A&M.. Urban would have gave those bums work.

Braxton would run circles on Bama just like Manziel.

A&M would have waxed OSU, so what's your point?

Haven't said anything that was true. OSU was unbeatable this year and over signing helps the SEC. When you have a larger talent pool and can weed out guys. It helps.

Did you see that outside the lines story on how LSU and Bama cuttin guys?

    AlphaBuckeye06

  • devidee said...

    What about the medical hardships.

Bama just magically has way, way more of them than any other program in the country?

Oh, I forgot. They practice really hard.

There is no list of "cut" players because there are multiple ways to cull a roster.

So they give kids that will never play anyway a free ride for the rest of their career, and they still get to hang around a top football team and wear their jerseys on the sidelines? In what universe is that a bad thing?

Lmao, yea right. Bums lost to a team that Louisville beat. Get real. Like I said, OSU 12-0== unbeatable.

Nobody could beat OSU. Just like 2002 when we barely beat bad teams then beat one of the best teams ever.

Seems shady if you ask me. Can we find these players at the schools they transferred to and were admitted by the team doctors to play at, and get their sides of the story?

You can ask Jarvis Jones why SoCal's doctors wouldn't clear him and he turned into a badass at UGA.

  • I'm ok with everything we do as long as it's within the rules. We have won 3 out of 4 championships and will be right there for another one next year. You can't tell me you wouldn't be in favor of OSU over signing if it led to that kind of success.

Not if we have a competitive advantage like that. All things definitely not equal. It's cool tho. That's why it's referred as the MNC.

Bama hasn't had a medical hardship in three years and Bama averages three transfers a year for the last four years. Last time I checked, the Fighting Heart-attacks had just as many.

Ohio St. fans should be thanking Saban and Alabama, instead of bitching and moaning. He's the only reason why Urban is currently your coach. Did Urban win two Natty's while at UF? Yes. However, won one before Saban arrived and his second in Nick's second year, while Bama drastically over-achieved in year two. Saban dominated Urban's best UF team in year three and Meyer saw the writing on the wall, hence the heart-attack. When Saban dominated his ass the very next season, Urban knew he wasn't going to win the SEC like he had before Saban got there. Congrats on having a leader that runs away at the first sign of adversity.

So on behalf of Alabama and Nick Saban, you're welcome.

Over the last four years Alabama signed more then 40 more players the Notre Dame. Keep the best and cut the rest seems like a plausible explanation for domination.

Does it feel that good knowing your winning with a stacked hand?

    That buttocks....it hurts.

This always cracks me up. Urban is 1-1 vs. Saban. You people act like Saban has beaten him repeatedly and Urban just couldn't take it any more. Meyer just needed to get his life back together, and that had nothing to do with NIck.

Does Sumlin own Saban just because he beat him once?

Posts like this crack me up, especially when they're wrong. Saban is 2-1 vs Urban and beat him 63-19 in the last two games. Muschamp was stuck cleaning up Heart-attacks's at UF last season.

  • Here are the numbers. Go ahead and spin them anyway you like.

Over the past five years Bama signed 142 players.

Here's what some other schools signed during the same period...

ND, 106 (36 less than Bama)
    Florida, 109 (33)
    Georgia, 110 (32)
    Ohio State, 113 (29)
    LSU, 125 (17)

We are not Notre Dame. The Ohio State University is a whole different beast. Come on now.

    12-0 speaks for itself.

Exactly.... Thanks for keeping it real. It gives Bama the advantage which should be put out there.

One thing for sure, we're kicken y'all ass and the SEC isn't near as good without oversigning. But at least you admit it which I gotta show you some love for.

Fair enough. I forgot Urbs was still at Florida in 2010. That was a pretty bad Florida team in general, so it's not surprising Bama throttled them.
