Why do people ignore oversigning?

Mane OSU is 6-3 in BCS bowls. We relevant dog.

Ironic that a Bama person is calling Ohio the shittiest state in the union.

Northern Illinois could make a BCS bowl 9 times if it played in that sh*t conference. If Bama played in the Big 10 they would be undefeated and in the NC game every single year.

I used to think Auburn had the worst fan base but after visiting this board for over a year my opinion has changed.

OSU by far has the most delusional, ignorant fan base in all of college football. OSU plays in the weakest of the 4 big conferences yet they have managed to accomplish absolutely nothing in the past 10 years.

The MNC they won against Miami was the result of a horrid call by a ref and should not even count.

Yet their fans would lead you to believe they matter, that they are a threat to win a championship.

They are an average football team playing in the shittiest state in the union with the absolute worst fans.

My new order or worst fan bases after my time on TBB:

    1)OSU 2)LSU 3)UGA 4)AU 5)USCw

    Cool story.

Ohio state was unbeatable. You scrubs lost to A&M.. Urban would have gave those bums work.

Braxton would run circles on Bama just like Manziel.

Lol purdue says hey.. Lol that tough schedule was so amazing. Luckily for the buckeyes Purdue can't stop a deep ball with just seconds on the clock. It's hilarious why weren't you guys able to play in a bowl game?

Hell at least we had John L Smith for an excuse you guys excuse is they cheat but are complaining about "over signing", even though the SEC has a 25 per year rule? If players go pro, transfer, quit, or get hurt why wouldn't a team be able to replace them? Oh the horror

What's the problem with medical hardships? The kids get to keep their scholarship and continue school while not playing football. More schools should do it.The unethical thing to do would be to toss them on the street and be done with it. Does Saban put a gun to their head and make them sign the waiver?

The question is why not let them transfer to another school, even another SEC school, and play? Why are their choices only to sign the waiver or transfer and sit out?

The conference that is barely staying ahead of the ACC.

You think they are ahead of the ACC? Big 10 2-5 in bowls this year. While the weak @$$ ACC was 4-2.

Big 10's two weakest bowl eligible teams at least won though. That top end of the conference is so good. 7-5 winning the conference makes that conference barely ahead of the Big East.

Your post makes no-sense at all. The philosophy behind Saban and Butch Davis while at UNC, is forcing these medical hardships on players who aren't very good or didn't perform at the level they were expected to, it free's up that players scholarship for someone else.

You wouldn't try to make Jarvis Jones (one of the best players on any team) take a medical hardship. That's assinine.

    My. God.

Where do you people come up with this stuff? Did you not have a highly-recruited Bama signee on your roster this year that our staff allowed to transfer without obligation?

There were former Saban signees at multiple major schools this year that were allowed to transfer out, whether it was JUCO or straight to another college. Texas, Tennessee, Auburn, etc.

Well I mean 12-0 won one side of the division, so that's pretty good. 7-5 was good enough for third in the Leaders division. And that 7-5 team was good enough to hang with that top ten Stanford team that everyone loves, so maybe they're not that awful

Seriously, Manziel had two of the best tackles in the country protecting him from the Bama rush. Braxton wouldn't "run all over" anything, he'd get broken in half without protection from the Bama D. Golson was on the run all night and the ND OL is definitely better than the OSU OL.

That's weird I didnt see a 12-0 team win one side of the division? Also does hanging with a team count as being good now? Holy $hit Arkansas hung with LSU. Pitt & BC hung with Notre Dame they are good now too?

A 2-5 bowl record should show you that the Big 10 is weak. If you are starting to use hang with as a qualifier it's pretty bad. Michigan state won with a last second FG so they almost lost bc the team hung with em. That makes you almost 1-6 geez or you could say Nebraska hung with UGA for a half so almost 3-4 huh?

Come on dude the ACC was a better conference during bowl season pretty simple.

    According to 247
    28 in 2009 27 in 2010 25 in 2011 26 in 2012. Total of 106
Michigan only signed 94 (12 less)

do yourself a favor & quit "counting" NSD L.O.L numbers as a running total of "signed scholarships" each year.

knock on dVd's door & tell him someone said .... crackwhip

07 and 08 Kerry Murphy was listed twice (naturally he only "signed" only once).
and from 08-current you can add these names .Darius McKeller,Brandon Lewis,Anthony Orr,Deion Belue,Quin Dial, Brandon Hill.

then there is Jamar Taylor (tranf before he ever enrolled),Melvin Ray & Dez Hood (opted for MLB),Devonta Bolton(never enrolled),Alfy Hill (juco).... that's 12

    a few "PROCESSED" players...
Cory Smith (starter at WVU),Darrington Sentimore(led Vols in sacks opting for NFL as a Jr),Mike Marrow(Nebraska FB),Brandon Moore(Texas 2-deep*),5*QB Phillip Sims(couldnt beat out AJ),Zo Lawrence(stud but dumped via team rules/invited to NFL camp in 11').

a few med-hardships and a vast # of NFL early entries.

"according to 247 the total is ..." PLEASE !!!! lol

**** 25/85 rule **** read it, learn it, live it

  • You idiots are just mad because Saban is smarter than your coach.

We have the most demanding program and it is not meant for every athlete. Couple that with many players who can't break the depth chart at Bama but know they could start for your inferior programs. You have many players who transfer out.

Deal with it and quit whining. You are starting to sound like a bunch of losers.

Here is what I really think oversigning is all about -

There once was a proud conference that had several blueblood members in it that started having a difficult time winning games(especially bowl games) versus other big time non-conference schools. "How could this be?" they wondered aloud. "Why, it must be the weather!" they exclaimed. They pointed out that bowl games are played in warm climates. This was embraced and accepted for awhile. Alas, the mean OOC foes began winning on the cold weather home fields and domes became more prevalent. So ended the weather theory. Not to be deterred, the search for the reason of being dominated continued. "Ha! Look at our opponents graduation rates!" some exclaimed. Sadly, this theory was embraced for many years before the realization started setting in that the boasting of education being first at any big time CFB program is a transparent lie. Next up? "Cheaters!!!!!" The whine was primal, widespread and accepted as gospel. "We do it the right way" became the trampstamp on the rear of the denial whores. Several probations later, that myth(like the others) debunked itself. The current excuse is "Oversigning". This must be the reason. "These other schools have stacked rosters". Right?

You really want other teams to fall back to your level? Lulz.... That's not gonna happen. It's embarrassing watching you make excuses year after year. Get in the ring and compete and quit whining or you may fall so far behind that you won't be able to catch up.

The next thing that you're going to tell me is that television stations rig the rankings for ratings.

    **current rosters**
    Bama 25/85
    OSU 25/85
    ND 25/85
    Texas 25/85

the funny thing with all these ohio state tards:

    1) ohio st getting absolutely abused by florida and lsu helped contribute to sec dominance (remember the supposed 'game of the century between tosu and um) after losing the game um got blasted by usc while tosu got bitch slapped by florida.

    2) urban 'family guy', 'quitter'. where to begin? and the bucks bitch about sec recruiting/oversigning...lol...on the heels of tress they hire this ass clown who couldn't discipline a kindergarten class...the sweater vest cheating ass hypocrite followed by the urban 'family guy hypocrite is laughable.

i'm very grateful for the over rated b1G suckiness of the bucks...happy for urbs being back in mac country where he doesn't have to face the sec...keep bitching bucks.
