Why do you hate your rival?

    I hate ND mainly because their women refuse to shave their thick staches. OTT, they aight!

    Carolina fans have an unhealthy obsession with Clemson. They have always been a little envious. If you go look at their homesite any given minute, there will be 5 threads about us on their homepage. Even though they have owned us in every sport in the last three years they are still mad.

    I think it cam be attributed to the fact that most of their fans did not go to school there.

    I kid, I kid, everyone knows Vandy is the academic king of the south, and everyone else is, at best, a distant second.

    Duke is unequivocally better; Emory, Johns Hopkins, Rice, UNC, Georgia Tech, Rice, and Virginia (depending on your definition of "South") are either arguably ahead, equal, or in the same ballpark if behind.

  • Don't really hate Texas but one week out of the year in October. They are our only "real" rival now without Nebraska around. We do have this pesky in-state school that wishes to be our rival but they are really just the annoying little brother who won't shut up. That's why I don't hate Texas fans as much, Oklahoma State is nearby and we hear their rubbish every day of the year, unlike the Longhorns.

    They (Clemson fans) have the most misplaced sense of accomplishment and self worth of any fanbase I've ever encountered. Any Clemson fan will tell you:

    -They are one of the top public universities in the country
    -Dabo Swinney is a true leader of men and is the epitome of class.
    -They have had some of the best recruiting classes the last ten years
    -They are a top ten all time football program
    -They are one of the most recognizable teams in America
    -If Danny Ford had not been unfairly fired he would have been as good as Bear Bryant
    -Running down the hill in Death Valley is unquestionably the best tradition in college sports
    -They are better than any SEC school because they have higher academic standards and don't let everyone in
    -It is no surprise elite out of state players want to come to Clemson because there is something magical about the campus. It truly is "God's country" and "there is something in those hills"

    I am not bullshitting you. I have several close friends who are current Clemson students and have other acquaintances that are lifelong Clemson fans. I have heard many of them say all of these on several occasions.

    I dont necessarily hate Oklahoma. Some of their fans are terrible, but I know some of ours are as well so it kinds evens out. Weve gotten the doors blown off of us more times than id like to see so id love to return the favor.

    Completely understandable. I have several Longhorn friends and we have great banter. But with any rivalry it's cyclical. We will likely win this year and you guys the next. At least I feel we should win this year. The 2013 sooner team will be a slight rebuilding project
