Wichita, KS help, please!

Well, I finally landed my first job since graduation. The company wants to move me to Wichita. I'm 24. My girlfriend of five years will be making the move with me as well. We both like going to the bars and different restaurants.
My job is located on the west side of Wichita: near the intersection of Interstate 235 and W Kellog Street. Anyone familiar with Wichita? Where should I look to live? Thanks in advance.

I'm stationed two hours south. Used to go there weekly with a buddy who lived there. It's an alright town, Kellogg had a lot on it. I was only 20 back then so I can't help with bars.

I lived there from 2003-2008. I thought it was a pretty awesome town. If you like the bar scene you've got Old Towne and other cool bars throughout the city. If there is anything I can say for Wichita folks they love to eat. There are a million different restaurants in that town. Best place to live for me was on the east side. East side being east of Rock on Greenwich and Webb (or further out). When I was there they were constantly building nice new developments out that way. Rule of thumb on Wichita is Far East is good, Far West is good, anything in between can get a little sporty. Also, Derby and Mulvane are nice if you don't mind a couple extra minutes on your commute.
