Wil the Lakers fire two coaches in one season?

  • If LA keeps playing this poor I think they will dump d'antoni and beg jackson to come back. Thoughts? coffee

Dantoni hasn't even coached a fully healthy roster yet. Nash hasn't played a single game and Gasol has been out for most of his time with the team.

He'll get to finish the season at least. Beyond that, who knows. It'll probably depend on if Kobe likes him or not.

I hope they miss the playoffs. That would be too hilarious. Probably .00001% chance that happens, but I can hope.

  • Is Phil really the answer? Phil couldn't get them to do anything but get the snot beat out of them by Dallas his last season here. At some point there is a common denominator...

The lazy ass, old, core players. Kobe needs to stop thinking its 2005 by throwing up 30 shots a game too.

I don't think he would go to the Lakers now after the embarrassment that was the Dantoni hiring process. I think the Lakers really pissed him off with that move

Meh, wouldn't want him for this squad anyway. He lost his players(same core that is here now) the last time he was here so he can stay smok'n in Montana for all I care. Plus Nash would be useless in the triangle and Howard isn't half the post up type player Phil has had in the past.

  • Phil probably wouldn't have worked exactly like they wanted either, but I still can't believe they hired that turd D'Antoni lol

Not many options 10 games into a season though. Sloan would have been my pick but at 96 years old I doubt he even wants to watch basketball on tv let alone coach these days. Not sure who else was out there that could get through to a guy like Kobe.

Trying to give D'phoney his chance with all the starters but that still seems to be a few weeks a way at best.
