Of Big 12 QBs playing like duds in the league?
Thought Freeman and Bradford were going to end it, but last year didn't change the trend.

Bradford has very little to work with, and Freeman has even less than Bradford. Both have done well considering what they have.

Bradford was banged up last year and had a terrible line with nobody to throw to. I think he still pans out.

Both correct, but neither has had any real success either.
It's not just those two. They are just the two that looked like they might end the trend last year. Still could. Who is the last top Big12 QB to make it?
Just odd coming from a conference of such prolific college QBs.

I think Geno Smith will be the one to break the trend, IMO, IYAM, PIIHB.

Bradford will be good in the future, so will Freeman. They have proven they belong and have shown flashes.
Gabbert sucks ass. So does Tannehill. So does Colt McCoy. So does Vince Young.

Josh Heupeul (won a MNC at Oklahoma) and Jason White (won a Heisman at Oklahoma)?
I think there was a QB from Oklahoma State before Weeden that got drafted in the 1st or 2nd round, no?

White was undrafted, Heupeul was a 6th rounder.

Thats actually a good question.
Who was the last decent NFL starting QB from the teams in the Big 12?
And no....Aikman was not a real Big 8 QB. He played three whole games in that conference.

It’s too early. Freeman was good the year before this year and Sam Bradford has nothing besides an old Steven Jackson to help him out.
I think Tannehill (sp?) will be decent, Gabbert will probably be a bust, Bradford will be very good (top 10 QB if he reaches his potential IMO), Freeman will be good, and RG3 is the next Steve Young.

He didn't start off as a WR, he practiced every single day as a QB and then on gamedays he was WR. Man, you come off like an ass sometimes.

To be fair, until the early 2000's, that conference was filled to the gills with pure option and wishbone teams. Only when Stoops came to Oklahoma, did they start this nuclear race towards most prolific quarterbacks who fail as NFL talent.

Maybe back in the 70s and early 80s.
Nebraska was the only pure option team in the 90s.

SEC is where it will be at for QB's
Peyton Manning, Tennessee - an All-Time great
Eli Manning, Ole Miss - maybe not an All-Time great yet, but he's making a case
Jay Cutler, Vanderbilt - one of the top 15 QB's in the NFL
Matt Stafford, Georgia - the best young QB in the NFL imo
Cam Newton, Auburn - probably the 2nd best young QB in the NFL imo
Ryan Mallett, Arkansas - he will be the heir apparent to Tom Brady, make no mistake about it
Jason Campbell, Auburn - has had middling success, but he is a back-up now in Chicago and had an OK career
