I'm completely talking out my ass here, I think they're making sure they can get Drummond at 5-and if they can they'll take Drummond and the 12 pick and ship to the Rockets

thats very possible. I hope it happens. Im sick of the Dwight talk. But, even if he gets traded it will continue, because I doubt he will sign an extension with Houston.
So, the next question. Why is Houston wanting to just rent him for a year. They will still suck.

If they are smart they will. They won't win a ring for at least three years even if they keep him as they would need to completely rebuild and get rid of some really really bad contracts. Better off building in the draft and signing some smart free agents for once.
