Will this be the decade of the Thunder or the Heat?

  • A new decade, the NBA has reset... which means yet another shift of power. Me personally? I think this will be the Thunder's decade, they have all the pieces already to make a serious 7-8 year run. The scary part about the Thunder is they haven't even come close to reaching their ceiling yet. Wade is already showing signs of having the ''injury bug'' at such a young age. Lebron has proved he can't do it on his own (nor does he possess the maturity or the confidence), and we all know Bosh is ''the rupaul of big men''~ Shaquille O'Neal.
At any rate, let's get down to the brass tax and talk about the future of the NBA.

  • Lebron cant do it on his own? He's lead this team. We'll see. But to answer your question. Yes Durrant and Lebron will dominate

The only thing Lebron dominates is some no account game on a Tuesday in the middle of February. But when it comes to the big stage he shrinks. He proves it every post season.

Best season of his career this year. Another MVP. I got a feeling he gets his ring this year.

That Spurs team was so much better than the Cavs in every position except LeBron, he had no shot.

  • but, to the point of this thread, I think it will be Heat and Thunder battling it out, they will both win a few titles imo. Bulls will probably snag at least 1 too.

    Hskr4Life23

  • Both will win 2. Which won't make it a decade of power for either.

    2012: Thunder
    2013: Heat:
    2014: Thunder
Then either Westbrook or Durant will want to go to LA or NY
2015: Heat, then DWade falls apart and essentially has to retire

I almost really believe no other team really has a chance the next 4 years unless something weird happens.

  • Lol at people saying LBJ shrinks in playoffs. He quit against the Celtics, and sucked ass in the finals last year. Other then that he has dominated straight up.

OKC is going to have a tough time keeping their team together. Ibaka, and Harden are going to get paid, like max contracts paid. They already have Westy and Durant on max contracts, so it will be interesting to see what they do. Personally I'd trade Westbrook for a more traditional PG and another 3 point shooter; and keep Harden and Ibaka.

The Heat are going to be in it just because they have LBJ. Wade is nearing his end IMO, he took such a beating when he was young I just don't see how he plays too much longer. I think if the Heat trade Bosh for a defensive presence at C they could win a couple right now. Nene or someone like that would be perfect for them.

  • Thunder are the Rolling Stones

    Play

OKC Thunder = Rolling Stones - Bomani and ...

We're not sure about LeBron comparing his team to The Beatles, but we're pretty sure the Thunder remind us of the Stones, and if Durant/Westbrook can figure out their roles as well as Mick/Keith did, should be a good show for all of us. That's why I am saying OKC should ship Westbrook for a more traditional PG, and a shooter/ scorer off the bench. Harden >>> Westbrook. And I think if OKC got a legit PG to run the show they would be scary good, right now they have no half court offense. It's either dribble drive for one of their big 3, or a jump shot.

I doubt we will meet each other, but how does that apply to the rest of the conversation?

Also, you were looking for "newsflash."

You doubt? That's a goddam fact. And no I wasn't looking for newsflash. Point is, ya boy Lebron sucks. And he will prove it again in this years playoffs. A kid in a man's body.

Lulz. Just a hater I guess.

Do you watch basketball? Or just another one of those NBA analysts who basis his analysis off SC and what he hears there?

LBJ dominated until the finals last year. Still averaged 18, 7, 7, 1.5 steals and shot 48%. So even when he sucks he's better than 90% of players.

Thunder are going to have a much easier time keeping the team together than Miami.

I expect Miami to trade one of the big 3 once the new luxury tax hits. Additionally, if Miami can't win now, they are going to struggle to add players to the roster with the new CBA.
