Rafa still needs to win the tour finals.

Ahh, thought we were talking Golden Slam.

Honestly i'm not sure how much the tour finals really matter, it certainly matters less than any of the grand slams or the gold medal.

Hey Trojans, LSU's 74 are better than your 75.

  • Rafa needs to quit digging in his butt so much

  • Some of the posts in this thread are laughable. Murray played his ass off today, and NEVER quit. Probably one of the best matches he has ever played, but Federer was simply awesome in the last three sets. I am not sure Federer has played that well in four years or so. He played MUCH better today than he did against Djokovich in the semis; not even close. I think Murray would have beaten anybody in the world today the way he played except for Federer, on grass, with his "A" game.

That entire match (including the 1st set) was played at an extremely high level by both guys. You cannot underestimate just how hungry Fed was too; he wanted that #1 ranking back very, very badly.

It's not the way Murray played that deserves criticism, it's his horrible body language and attitude.

I guess we need to criticize a lot of tennis players then....it happens all the time.

I get that, but I didn't see much to bitch about today. In the past, it has effected his play but today he played great for four sets. He just got beat by a tennis cyborg.

He was fine until he lost that second set, after that the shoulders slumped and he started shoutung at himself, he needs to be able to calm down and just get on with the game.

Agreed. No one would have beaten Fed today.
