With a weak QB class in this year's draft...

ESPN is full of idiots who have no clue what they are talking about.

Sounds like some people on the Blue Board I know. Now it's the top minds in this field disagree with me so THEY are the ones who are wrong. Yep, seems legit. You guys got owned. Deal with it. Some of you know better than to argue this kind of stuff with me too so it makes it look twice as bad. You ain't gonna win brah

Yea man. It's BS! I designed that damn tattoo. I posted it on Facebook saying " My new tat I just designed."

McHandoff printed it off, went down to the local tattoo parlor, and jacked my tattoo.

Nope, on October 19 in an SI.com article

McShay is very respected for his opinion on the game and the fact that he believes so much in McCarron’s skill is a great endorsement for the ‘Bama thrower down the road. While McShay likes what he sees in McCarron, just how high does he believe the junior could be selected when he enters the NFL Draft?

“It wouldn’t shock me if we’re talking for the 2014 draft A.J. McCarron as a potential top 20 overall draft pick because he’s got enough tools, and I just I like the way he plays the game,” said McShay.

    Next

Lot of guys with a lot of opinions. Who does Kiper say is the most talented QB in the draft, provided he enters the draft? Logan Thomas

“He’s more talented than any quarterback that will be in this draft,” Kiper said during a teleconference with reporters. “You name any quarterback, I don’t care who it is, he’s more talented.” That comment was made by Kiper yesterday.

I'm not trying to sell anyone on that, I'm just saying that a lot of different people have a lot of different opinions.

From what I can gather, through sound reasoning, you're about 8 inches too short to have a chest tat.

I think he will end up a second rounder. He's got all the tools, just doesn't have that ability to completely take over the game like a Barkley. Much much better than McElroy and Wilson though with at least a shot at starting one day

not sure why you think barkley is better. i've never seen barkley take over a game. i've seen his receivers do it

What elite tools is he lacking? Elite speed? OK. Who does have elite speed and how did that shape up? He has a very strong, accurate arm to go along with a 6'4" frame, and will stand in the pocket to deliver the pass. The negatives I've head on him are he is skinny (not really anymore) and he is a bit of a gunslinger. He's about to throw for 3,000 yards in a fun first offense where two RB's went over 1,000 yards and so did a WR. What that means is, they didn't need to throw but did because he was so good. His WR's corps are going to be the best in the SEC in not the entire country next season and he is going to kill it. Absent of a mental breakdown and If he comes back and stays healthy, he will be a 1st round pick. It's too long from now to do a sig bet but I would do one for a year.

You don't think that the running game helps him??? Team are selling out to stop the run and leaving favorable matchups for AJ to take advantage of.

I'm not saying he isn't a good player and I'm not saying that he isn't NFL caliber, but TODAY, he is not a 1st round pick.

Here's a guy who thinks he should be the number one pick THIS YEAR. But the Blue Board's got this, right? Some of you should stick to baseball IMO....

Note that this site also has Sheldon "Robinson" (instead of Richardson) going at #29 to Denver. Sorry, but this hits their credibility, imo.

His only justification for McCarron is that the team wins. Pretty thin reasoning.

Of course it does, that's my point. Moxie McGloin threw for 3k in 12 games and he had a 80+ ranked running to help him out. There are a ton of QBs who could throw for 3k in 14 games if they had Bama's running attack.

  • You idiots do realize that AJ was out of the game by halftime about 40% of the season. If he was in it was to just hand the ball off and kill the clock. Our games weer over by halftime. If we wanted he would have 3500 yards. GTFO.

McShay also said that UGA has more NFL ready talent than bama, and bama fans acted like that was ludacris and he shouldn't ever be cited as a credible resource ever again. Not saying you said that weed, but it is humorous to see how people use quotes from sources to benefit the debate at hand and then discredit that source later.

He was right...yall do have more NFL type players....THIS YEAR. These comments were taking wrong, just like most are. Alabama has more NFL talent as underclassman than UGA, but with this years draft UGA has more NFL talent on defense.

I'm not hating on the kid but what exactly does he do that screams 1st round QB to you? 1st round talent means franchise type talent, do you see that out of AJ? I think he's solid but nothing great, if I was drafting him he'd be a late 2nd-early 3rd. Very similar to a Kirk Cousins type of QB, wins games but isn't the reason his teams really win.
