Who was the last great D lineman from Wisconsin before JJ Watt? Who was the last great QB from Baylor before RG3? Talent is talent, regardless of where they came from.
With that being said I don’t love MM as a pro prospect right now, and I doubt he goes #1 in 2014 even if CK is coaching the Jag’s. He has impressive physical tools and actually has a legit shot of playing in the NFL unlike DT and Masoli but that Oregon passing game is a lot of short passes and screens. I like his potential and hopefully CK will open up that passing game a little bit more in 13 but right now Teddy Bridgewater is probably the #1 QB in that class.

Lots of people ITT obviously haven't seen him play and think he's darron Thomas.
Not even close. This kid would dominate in USC or LSU or Bama's offense.
6'4 with a strong and precision accurate arm, makes all of the right decisions, and just happens to run a legit 4.4
21 year old RS so 1st overall pick, and no chip Kelly won't be their coach.

Yeah and RG3 ran a similar system with lots of zone read. Thing is some qb's need that system (Johnny Football being one IMO) and some don't (Cam, RG3, VY)
QB position in the NFL is changing a little bit, especially with guys this toolsy coming out. Akili Smith and Joey Harrington weren't this toolsy coming out.
