Someone made a good point in the other thread.

Make Manny lose, people pay for a rematch while Floyd is in jail, Manny wins rematch and then faces Floyd.

Very.... VERY VERY possible. We are talking about Boxing here.

I feel like i wasted my time watching this fight. What a joke.

To be honest Pacquaio has been killing that fight for the past couple of years by not wanting to be subjected to drug testing right before the fight. I can't fault Mayweather for having his concerns about doping.

Shut up. Manny agreed to random drug testing and all of his other stupid demands. The only thing that kept the fight from happening during these last negotiations was Mayweather wanting a lot more of the purse than Manny. Manny of course told him to go F himself. Don't even start with this drug test crap, because if you do then you are wayyy behind the times.

Any dood with a brain would have scored it 11 rounds to 1 at best

That's my score. I don't let the announcers sway me. We turn down the volume, we have our own commentary.

meh, I honestly don't believe Manny wants to fight Mayweather and vice versa. Both don't like being put in position where they might lose.

This is why boxing needs to be more like UFC and get a Dana White type guy in there to start marketing the sport and setting the matches. If Dana White was in charge we would have had Pacquaio vs Mayweather a couple of times at least already and more people would actually give a damn about boxing.

Although the big underdog winning by a controversial split decision is also a good way to bring more eyeballs to the sport and definitely more eyes to the rematch Nov 10

The big underdog didn't win.... He got pounded for 12 rounds. The fans, announcers, and soon every sports broadcast will be bashing Boxing. The sport was dying, now its dead.

The old saying goes..... "Any publicity is good publicity."

So now on Nov 10 there will be a ton of PPV sales to watch Manny reclaim the title, and if he does and if he and Floyd can get their shit on the same page for once and set up the big fight next summer then that will draw in HUGE PPV ratings for boxing.

Why do you think I said CONTROVERSIAL split decision? It's a controversy because most believe he didn't win.....

Manny should have dropped him when he had the chance early on instead of backing off and he got too damn lax from about round 8 on(still landed punches, but wasn't as forceful as he was early), and maybe the judges were just pissed at him for making them wait to get the fight started?(joking about the last part)

Nobody with a brain would pay to see that rematch so I don't get the logic. The judges should never see another fight and should be investigated for fraud. The sportsbooks and bookies just made out like bandits and boxing just took another huge blow to its credibility. Sad night

  • Manny - "I won that fight"

Bradley - "I'm gonna have to check the tape and see if I won"

That says it all right there.

  • I watched the fight online last night. Went to bed after the 10th because I had class this weekend. Figured Bradley may have won one round up till that point. He couldnt hurt Pacman at all so I figured the fight was over. When woke up today I could not believe that Bradley had won. Seriously, those judges should be banned. How could you score a big time fight so badly? Even the judge who had Pacman winning only had it 115-113. That scorecard is terrible in of itself. What a horrible night for boxing. Guess Manny wont keep everyone waiting till after the basketball game next time

It wasn't "controversial", it was fixed. A straight up, low down, paid-off fix. Boxing is no different than the WWE.

  • Judge pretty much said that fans are stupid and have no idea how to judge a fight. He said Bradley did more damage. He said he had it 4-2 Pac after 6 rounds, and then Bradley took over. He said "If this were American Idol, Pac would have won".

I guess every single Boxing fan in the world is just stupid, and the 3 judges in Las Vegas are the only people in the world that thought Bradley won, or even came close to winning.

    Which judge?

That's freaking crazy talk, 4-2 after 6? If anything I thought the later rounds could have gone more in favor of Bradley just because he kept coming out and for the 1st 2 minutes of each round was trying to do something and Manny wasn't bringing the same power he had early in the fight.

And when I say later rounds I didn't start noticing that until maybe round 8 or 9. No way did Bradley win 2 of the first 6 rounds, maybe somewhere there could be an argument for 1 of them and even that is a tough argument.

Glad I don't get invested in boxing anymore like I used to, it's a dead sport and the only way to kinda fix it is have a Pacman vs Mayweather fight and the longer it drags out the less likely it will happen or the less likely it will be a good fight.
