Fag- twig, bundle of sticks, bundle of Jews (Nazi), cigarette, gay, now it also means you're a douche.

Something that easily catches fire used to be called "inflammable" rather than "flammable", but they had to change it because too many people though that meant it couldn't catch fire.

The one new one that drives me nuts is "swag". SWAG=Stuff We All Get AKA free crappy pencils/hats/frisbees/stress balls you get at lame conventions.
The word these people are looking for is SWAGGER.
Most of the morons who say they have "swag" or attribute it to others wouldn't know SWAGGER if it hit them in the face after it banged their girlfriend.

Inflammable is still the proper term, at least from a journalistic perspective.
Also, major, I think the word you're looking for is inception, not conception.
