    Thank God, you will be like the ONLY person from Ohio that doesn't try leaving that craphole to invade the South. Work hard at convincing the rest of the state to think like you, as nobody wants you, Drew Carey, Jamie Farr and the rest of the greta Ohians anywhere near the South(I can assure you, the West, Northeast, Southwest, the remainder of the Midwest, the Earth, , hell the universe , feels the same.)

    Someone from Ohio saying the South sucks? Hell even saying Michigan sucks, being from Ohio... Have you ever been to the beaches at Warren Dines, to Traverse City, skied Big Powderhorn, been to Founders in GR) Yes the area near Ohio of Michigan is a rat hole, one could argue its because of its proximity.

    Youre a bitter guy and kind of mean. So all of Ohio is bad? No nice parts? You jump on Devidee for his opinion by taking shot at a whole state? If I go sking in Michigan I go to Boyne Btw!

    If you are only talking about trophy fishing then Florida is obviously better but if you are talking about flyfishing and bass fishing I'd say Michigan is a bit better.

    Nothing against Maryland but to say Florida isn't nice is mind boggling.granted it has it's bad.spots like all states but it's a he'll of a lot better place to live than the north east.

    Bass fishing seriously.The only state with better bass fishing than Florida is Texas.Pick up a copy of Bass Masters magazine.You won't find any northern states in it I assure you of that.Walleye magazines yes.

    Weather sucks in those places.Its 70 degrees in November here.And never gets much over 95 in the summer.They don't call it the sunshine state for nothin.

    No walleye here in Florida.I wish though,fun to catch but they don't tast as good as grouper.I wish we had muskies they look fun to fish for.But I am a tarpon junkie no fish can match a silver king for athleticism.

    I've lived in Michigan 27 years and I've been to Detroit maybe 5 times... I should keep this secret but northern Michigan would blow your mind if you spent some time up there on their beautful lakes. Google "Torch Lake" and "Crystal Lake". Best part: NO SHARKS.

    Weather sucks if you don't like cold weather. There are plenty of people who enjoy 4 seasons, those same people complain when it's -5 but winter isn't that bad. I don't mind snow and enjoy 50 degree fall days. It's a matter of opinions.

    Eh sharks aren't really a big deal. Best part imo is that if you swallow a ton of the water your throat/nostril don't burn.

    There are more 10 pound bass caught out of Lake Fork,Falcon,Amistad,and Toledo bend than all off Michigan combined.There are 4 bassmaster tournaments in Texas every year.Mich.0. No lake in any northern state can even come close to any of these Texas lakes in numbers of bass or size.13 pound bass are caught fairly often in all 4 of them.And I could name at least 4 other lakes as well.I follow professional bass fishing closely and bass fishing is king in the south.

    haha! Florida has us beat big time on fishing. We have world class Walleye and Smallmouth Bass fisheries, but the rest is mediocre. Salmon fishing has really fallen off in recent years, otherwise I'd include that one on the "world class fishery" list. Ohio does have phenomenal steelhead fishing but thats only reason I ever go there.

    I think wendel was talking about Smallmouth Bass. We dont have the fishery to support Largemouth Bass. Thats a fact.

    Oh i love winter. I ice fish more than I open water fish. Plus all the critters you hunt in winter arent riddled with fleas and parasites like they are in warm weather. But it does get kinda depressing once football is over... FACT.
